We should have another basic class

out of curiosity are you cleric c3 sadhu c3? or what route did you take. I loved sadhu in the betas but since all the nerfs i can’t motivate my self to make one again, just curious what the typical build is now as the sadhu forum is all over the place.

Dude, this is NOT Ragnarok, Get over it

How can a Chaplain not buff?
The main source of damage from a chaplain are their buffs.
And they all affect the party.

I’m rolling C1>Priest C3> Chaplain, and I have no mass heal, having 10 points in: Blessing, Aspersion, Sacrament, and 5 on Revive and Stone Skin doesn’t allow more than 2 points in Mass Heal (1 Monstrance, 2 on Ressurrection).

Do you get what i means? Shinobi and Corsair just doesn’t fit into swordman class.
How is it related to Ragnarok, can you read?

A shinobi is literally just an eastern swordsman lol.

I’m the type of person that doesn’t like following Meta. I tend to go my own way because personally when I pay 150$ for something, it’s my way or no way. Lol.

As for your question my build right now is; (and will be)

Cleric C2 (For Heals and Fade) Krivis C1 (Buffs) Sadhu C2 For Possession and OoB + Fade on Boss Fights when Shield and CD’s are down. Finally going for Druid C2 for Damage/Heals and CC. I chose not to go Sadhu C3 because although I lose some damage from Possession and such I gain more utility out of Druid (and Damage). That and I don’t really care for the C3 skill and I’ve heard countless times, it’s quite lackluster. Obviously I’m not going for a straight up DPS Cleric. I want to be able to heal, have Utility and support my group as best as I possibly can within confines to what I am allowed within game limits. Can someone DPS better then me? Probably. Heal? I’m sure. Bring more utility? Yeah, guess so. But I can do all three pretty well depending on what the situation calls for.

PS: I absolutely love my Sadhu. <3 (She is only 153 right now.) But I also have Alt-icidus and have over 4 100-150 Characters along with 4 70-99 Characters. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: One night in the 130 Dungeon I had the fortune of getting 3 AFK’ers so me and another Cleric pretty much tore up the whole dungeon ourselves. Pretty easy for me to solo dungeon packs as long as they’re not ranged, then it takes a bit of finesse.
you tell me. I want to cri everitime
If they don’t have mass heal, they could at least buff, right :frowning:

We should fix the existing classes first.

No, they aren’t.
They’re supposed to be elusive, stealthy, spies, lurking in the shadows, killing unaware targets.
Just like Naruto’s ninjas, but exactly the opposite.

How is this any way related to a frigging Barbarian? A Knight, a pirate?

Shinobi isn’t the best game to describe a Ninja, I think Tenchu might be better.

I’d like to see a fifth base class, if only to have the xp bonus for having one of each make sense. But a thief encroaches a bit too much into archer territory. It would have to be something unique. Problem is most roles are covered already, however perhaps a hybrid magic/phys class. Hard to think of something that can’t be covered already, but something like a cleric, but with emphasis on dps and debuffs as opposed to heals and buffs.

The biggest problem though is you not only need to create a new base class, but fill it with sub classes that don’t fit better in a different archtype. There are only so many ideas that don’t fit into the: guy with sword, guy with bow: guy with magic, and guy with heal roles.

TLDR = There is no room for a 5th Base class.

I was foccusing on PvP/Solo, that’s why I didn’t get Mass Heal, but I just can’t, since there is no PvP on this game…

That kinda sucks, I NEED to built a certain way to actually be helpful on PvE and cannot focus on PvP (that doesn’t exist), or even try different builds.

Even though the vast customization is a feature of this game, you have to strictly follow one path, or fall behind.
That is what I get from reading the forums.

Yeah, but you get a fair share of ppl with good builds that doesn’t do their job.
Peltasta who doesn’t taunt or tank? :frowning: clerics who don’t heal? Archers who can’t kite? Linkers who doesn’t link?
Makes you sad.
Meanwhile we get OP QSs happily kiting siau bosses alone while the rest focus on the other o.o
they all stems from a boy’s dream swinging swords around :joy:

Urg trigged.

Had a group with 3 swordsman 1 ele and me all 3 swordies had peltast 1. They all refused to taunt. :unamused:

Meanwhile swordsman are wondering why no one wants them.

On that note what is up with the archers that stand at melee range to shoot arrows?

What kind of class suggestions totally fitting into lore and story line we will see next, I wonder?

Pokemon trainers, demons, moomins, mothers, road workers, troubadours, talking animals, steam punk robots or politicians?

I’d personally want to play as a stone. I’d be just laying there on the road unable to move but do my job as a great part of pavement and nice little extra texture on some map. I’m looking forward on your assistance on tossing me onto new locations every once in a while when this great suggestion of mine will finally be accepted. With little help from friendly parties, I would even have the dedication to become the highest level stone out there on my server :triumph:

for one it is never to late games add classes all the time but that would would take a little longer seeing how it is an entire branch but its not impossible. that is a basic class that should have been in this game from the start i was just arguing this to someone els like 5 minutes ago lol but i agree classes like shinobi corsair and rogue should have been under that branch but that ship has sailed but there still are other classes they could put under the thief branch.

I think the point we tried to bring across in the middle got over people’s head.

What use is a new class branch if people sucks at even playing their current classes… Might as well make them not want to play instead of wasting that 1 valuable party slot.

O goodie your in the right thread now.

So lets go over this.

Shinobi in swordsman. A ninja class that uses swords and martial training. Seems appropriate for swordsman all its classes are weapon based, many which use swords. also lucha dor is planned for swordsman, a fighting class, so obviously martial types of combat will be acceptable under swordsman.

gypsy and vagabond are not even classes they are life styles of nomadic people, meaning it could fit literally every base class we have… if they were classes.

dancer and bard - Professions know for dexterity ang agility, sounds right at home in archer to me. That aside there are some music/dancing focuses in some religions, could be approached as clerics but i would find that less likely.

shadow dancer - im not sure what this is but if you view it as a dancer archer if you view it as shadow magic / teleportation, then its mages.

pirate tho that is corsair - Yes corsair exists and its a sword fighting class swordsman is fine. The argument of corsair reduces the need for thief even further as it has stealing abilities meaning there is not really room to give it to yet another class as the theme has been used, what use would 2 steals be?

More reason for them to be an Archer Class
