Tree of Savior Forum

We lost 50% of our players in two weeks

according to you, i really should name the topic"we gained 50% players in two wweeks" lmao

I wanted to send no message and how ever you interpreted it is on your end, as I stated over and over and I’m not going to say this again

What the f***???
No. No! What the f*** kind of argument is this???

He’s simply asking for you to restate the topic into something that isn’t as doomsday sounding as WE LOST HALF THE POPULATION ALREADY!!! GAME DYINGG!!!

OK. Well the fact of the matter is that it does in fact send a message and if you don’t want to send a message, we request you change the topic.

Please just admit defeat instead of trying to defend a pointless argument.

LMAO what the hell?

how did you even get that? thats also simply not true, are you having trouble reading your own graph? wtf? lol lol lol

if you didn’t want to send message why post a thread? you must be new to forums. You post threads to start a discussion. usually they have a message, subject, or a general point.

I think its obvious now that we are not really having a debate / discussion anymore and you are just offended and defensive that myself and others in this thread labeled your thread as biased and that it contains false and misleading information.

i’m not beig defensive, you are. Because I wasn’t trying to start an argument in the first place, as you somehow failed to realize over and over and over. I posted in a very neutral tone, not saying the game was dying or proliferating. You were hurt and got all defensive.

Anyway it’s not necessary that you need a point on the forum… there are tons of threads without a point such as “post your irl pic” or “how much is xx worth”

wow, i dont even… wow

Topic: “post your irl pic”,
Point: Lets share your real life picture

Topic: “how much is xx worth”,
Point: I would like someone to tell me what xx is worth

Topic “We lost 50% of our players in two weeks”
Point: The Tree of Savior player base is declining

are you being serious right now?

i keep giving you reasons of why i think your information is false and you have yet to give me a legitamate reasons why you think you are right.

i really dont care what you say as long as you can defend it, apparently you cant.

Dude, have you ever been into a freshly open game? You can’t expect for a game to maintain the same player base it had on launch, too many variables, if you’re not aware of it, some people were just curious about the game and wanted to give it a try… some just had a ridiculously high expectations, some are haters looking for every flaw they can find to spread their rage up and about, and some others are just not satisfied how the game turned out to be (they pictured a whole different game from it turned out to be) and yes, they even spended their precious 10 bucks (which they did without whining about like a lot of people did).

You just throw statistics like it means something, name a single game that had the same amount of its player base after one month uptime.

Just play your freaking game and stop worrying about how many players it had, if you play a game just because it has a lot of players, then you should just reconsider what you call gaming, idk about you, but I play ToS because I like the GAME, I can’t care less if it had 30k players and now has 17k (like your precious statistics say), for me it didn’t change a damm thing, cause I play the game for the gameplay not for a popularity show-off.

Yeah, except the number you “recalled” was higher than the highest the game has EVER had, and it wasn’t at the same time of day that you checked Steam.

Such a critical flaw makes your observation statistically meaningless, and the thread title is entirely incorrect.

We neither “lost 50% of our players” nor was it “same time two Saturdays ago” and it certainly wasn’t “about 40k players” unless you could also say there’s currently “about” 30k people online right now.

but it is declining is it not?

I was comparing 17k to 34k. If you must bring the peak to this comparison, then I could also bring up the fact that we have more bots now than before, and many people couldn’t log in due to server issues and inability to complete quests due to lag.

It is declining, but by ~30% rather than 50%, which is a big difference.

Also a lot of accounts were recently banned for botting and exploits, and bots have been around since the start, so you can’t say if there are more or less compared to two weeks ago.

35k is greater than 25k. so yes.
but that difference is not 50%
and that difference doesnt neccessarily mean they quit.
theres no reason why you should jump to that conclusion other than your own bias

interesting that you replyed this way. so the “point” of this topic was to say that the player base is declining. you where not “just stating stats”

how do you know the percentage of bots vs players? you can’t back up any claim that there are more bots that before.

your 34k number was a peak, the second number should be a peak.
if not then you could have just waited till Tuesday when the server is down for maintenance where there is like 0 people online. Then you can make a post that 100% of the players quit.

do you see the flaw of your conclusions now?

Players come and goes, especially so during launch (when the hype dies down).

We lose people to the stupid restrictions in the game.
Trading is badly made here.
Dungeons are not fun as much as they can be,no interesting bosses.
Its eay to hard to oen a guild.

Yes niche player base that will pay 50$ months so the game will not go down.

Should change to “fair and balanced reporting”…oh wait… nvm it might backfire

You made a post to spread

Fear

Uncertainty

Doubt.

Good job.

and this is the proof of your deliberate intention:

LOL

What a troll.

Make a thread, spreads FUD. Then

lmfao.

This must be like the 4th crap thread of the day.

Don’t forget about 15k of those “players” are the bot armies. So maybe out of 20k real players there are now only about 2k left still playing. Total Remaining: 2k players + 15k bots.

Lol. So many people hilariously overestimating the number of bots. Can’t tell if they seriously believe that or are trolling.

Anyway, as for the topic - Many people took vacation time to nolife the game 24/7 during the opening week, those vacations are now over and they are back to a regular schedule with limited game time. That alone explains a large part of the perceived loss of players as compared to last week.

As for the rest, some people tried it and found out the game wasn’t for them, some people were whiny babies and quit because the game wasn’t 100% perfect as soon as it launched, some people may be waiting until some of the issues get fixed to play.

Overall it’s not a big deal, that’s just how MMOs work, players come and go every day. Your best friend may just one day decide they don’t want to play the game any more and never get on again.

It’s not unusual for players to lose interest in a game after the first two weeks, that’s just normal lol… whats your point?

Many people expected waaaaay WAAAAY too much out of this game after purchasing a founder pack and were bitter that it didn’t meet their expectations -> quit and left bad review.

I knew exactly what to expect, and I am still having a blast like the first day I played.
Also, don’t forget major game releases like Dark Souls 3 and Ratchet and Clank came out recently which probably drained a good portion of players, too.

All in all, useless thread… spreading fear and uncertainty.
Losing players after the initial burst is normal for every MMO.

…and here I am, not caring about the playerbase just playing and enjoying myself.

Imc need to care not you.
You will just pay more if there will be low nombre of players.
