Same time two Saturdays ago, we had about 40k players online concurrently. Now we are down to 17k players. It sounds about right… I started with a group of five. Now two people(including me) are still playing, two people quit completely and the other barely plays.
Well, launch week is always the busiest time, and I take it a ton of bot accounts were banned recently, but yeah a lot of people have quit or don’t play as often anymore for various reasons and I don’t blame them.
Edit: Although it’s nowhere near 50% if you check the stats here:

Although there’s only 17,786 players online right now, within the last 24hrs the highest number of concurrent players was 24,768
The record is 34,640, so that’s only a 28.5% loss compared to 19 days ago.
For the comparison in the OP, on April 3rd there were 31,432 players online, for a 21.2% drop of highest today vs highest 2 weeks ago. Much less than 50%.[/quote]
and out of this 17k . 80% are bots. so that makes 20% of 17k to be actual players hmmmm…
I just want to be sure but where is it posted the current players count and the lauch week count.
The game’s yet to go into F2P.
I can’t really see a reason for this game not to find its player base niche. Citing opening weeks as comparison is really unfair because everyone is trying the game for the first time and simultaneously playing due to hype.
Now everyone is back to life as usual and either moved away from the game because it wasn’t their cup of tea or they’re moderating their play time/burnt out.
Tree or Savior has some work to do to be “just right” but it’s a fantastic base game to work with. I’m not concerned.
Or…we lost a mass of spammers, botters, and micro-scammers!
Woooo!~
FPS games lose just as many casuals and scrubs. Why? Because they’re casuals and scrubs. Wait a good 4 months before we start losing people due to slow patches or something serious or whatever.
whats the point of this thread?
all its going to do is discourage people from playing. is that what you want?

Game will most likely have a niche player base after a few months, leaving only people who like the game rather than whatever else is out there to play instead. Like every other MMORPG.
I’ll be around.
Same, im here for good.
Nothing new; usually MMO’s that aren’t Triple-A lose around half of their playerbase in around a months time.
We’ll see how this goes on F2P launch and a comparison 1 month after that.
there’s no point… just stating some stats, like saying I am 28 years old and I was 27 last year.
yea but they are inncorrect… and no sources…
You didn’t state any “stats”, you just hounded the forum with your imaginary, made-up information.
Fair to say you’ve wasted everyone’s time, even your own.
If you to steam > ToS community hub > it says the # of players online, and right now its like 17k… 2 weeks ago when all of us were playing and talking over skype, the server was lagging really hard, and when I looked up the concurrent players, I distinctly remember it was a very large number of ~34k players… so about twice of what we have now.
My group was playing together, now only two of us play and we’re on different servers because the game promoted single play and we couldn’t keep with each other.
The bots chased off someone else I tried to get to play.
