Reasoning is this:
kToS has 0CD skyliner.
Fast forward a couple of months.
iToS gets released.
They want to balance some skills which are considered “OP” in kTOS. Hence skyliner and cyclone nerfs.
Fast forward a couple of months.
They want to merge kToS and iToS. What do you think happens?
kToS will get iTOS skyliner. Not the other way around. iTOS came out AFTER kTOS so it makes sense kTOS get iTOS’ change, not the other way around.
Always possible but not likely from my perspective because ktos is already well established. It’s also the golden child, not the other way around or else we’d have been ahead of them all this time. I don’t believe they’re dumb enough to suddenly make a change that will cause outrage amongst a large number of their player base for no reason other than to make itos players feel less upset. Now that doesn’t make any sense.
On top of that, their swordies have been receiving buff after buff so it shows their commitment to balancing swordies to one day be at least on par with the other classes. To drop a huge nerf out of the blue makes no sense once again.
I guess stranger things have happened though but I believe we’ll either get all the ktos goodness or become some sort of hybrid.
I’d say lets wait and see.
No reason to panic, change char builds or to complain until we know exactly what the result of the iTOS/kTOS merge will.
I’m not sure if 0 cd skyliner is really so OP. Afterall, there are other classes with 0 cd skills (mainly archers) and no one is complaining about that. At least it’d push highlanders a bit, considering barbs got pushed quite alot in the recent past.
Yeah i’m sure IMC is going to intentionally kill their game like that.

Gotta agree with everyone here. Idk what people are saying kTOS, but something tells me no one is crying out “OMG 0 CD SKYLINER SO OP! PLEASE NERF IMC!” whereas there are so many shouts for swordies being underpowered in iTOS. Making skyliner CD in kTOS match iTOS wold just upset BOTH player bases, as opposed to making a currently unhappy player base happier by reducing the CD to 0.
Stupid are those swordies picking Highlander 2 or 3 thinking that Skyliner was the #newmeta for PvE-World boss or w/e they “thought” it would work.
H3 is more than just a 0 cd skill anyway.

Because over half of the kTOS SW players are based around skyliner? I’m sure they would rage alot. I don’t think it would be a smart move anyways but, like the others said, we should wait and see.
KTos gets our nerf, concentrate gets str dex scaling. Both things i predicted.
Hats off to you for making us all look like fools. Sad day for Highlanders. Hopefully they continue buffing swordies in other ways to make up for Skyliner.
To be honest, I wasn’t 100% sure either. And I was considering to reroll if higherlander gets 0cd skyliner lol. I had been contemplating a build like Swordie -> Highlander 2 -> Cata 3 -> Dgoon. That’s like the meta cata Goon build over there in kToS.
IMC in charge making good decisions
On the bright side. If IMC doesn’t have to balance around a 0 CD Skyliner, they can buff just about every other skill in the Swordsman tree to be substantially better to make up for it. Which i’d prefer to be honest. Also gives them a chance to make Vertical Slash a very powerful skill.
That’s my optimistic perspective on things at least. Highlander has so much potential to be good with just a few tweaks. Then again, this game’s balance will probably be a mess until all of the ranks are completed.
Predicting flat numbers turned into percentages for gungho, possibly as soon as next kToS patch.
