I know this has been brought up a lot by players already but I feel its something that really needs to be addressed in the full release. The fights aren’t engaging enough to have as many as there are, it’s basically like fighting regular mobs with more hp and a couple of abilities. It gets really repetitive and boring and that’s coming from someone who actually really enjoys the grinding aspect of the game. It’s a pretty simple solution of either just flat out removing some of the bosses, reducing their hp a bit/having some sort of better drop rate so it doesn’t feel like it’s just hindering your progress in the game, having fewer bosses but increasing the difficulty by giving them more unique abilities, or even making them side quests so that you can skip/do them however you please. As a huge RO player I absolutely love this game and I just want to see it succeed! Thank you.
i don’t mind the boss fights, but they are pretty dull with how long they go on for. i think they need a rage-mode or something similar to liven them up half way through -maybe with occasional aoe to make you dodge more. and maybe more adds when you do them in a party.
What IMC should do is make a “NOTIFICATION Message” before a boss fight, problem comes when your a newbie with 3 HP pots and 1 MP pots then quest says go to that place and SURPRISE… its a !@#$%^ boss, good thing you can press ESC and select character selection to escape boss fight or use your forever escape goat kleipeda scroll…
hmm boss fights: decent amount of silver/exp, good recipes, and majority of them are pretty much huge monsters that are mentally challenged.
Regular quests: boring “kill x amount of mobs” + “compete with other players and collect x amount of stuff that shares the same spawn”
I wish every quest is a boss fight.

Who needs a “NOTIFICATION Message” you know when a boss fights starts. Everytime you get 3xp cards its a boss fight quest you didnt realize after “so many boss fights”.
Simple solution
Get rid of the stupid penalty during these fights. All quest instances outright halve your final damage no matter what, just to make it artificially harder to beat them.
Just increase their HP and defense a bit, make them a lot faster especially, but get rid of the damn penalty. Why should I be weaker? The boss should be powerrful, not make ME weak.
It should just scale the hp to party size. Maybe 50% of current to start for 1 player and 200% of current for a 5 man group.
Also agree that they aren’t challenging at all. My grandma can dodge the super long wind up + big red circle crap that this game uses.
Try to be considerate, not all the times an npc gives 3xp cards its a boss fight, they should at least notify the player when a boss will occur.
A simple “!” or a red warning indicating a boss fight will help and besides newbies/new players dont know the system yet and a lot dont really notice it at first time they play, at least for us cbt testers we will simply ignore it.
some posts have said that’s to make things simple in beta and they won’t be in the release version, unless you have an oracle; not sure how true that is.
Some places need the boss to show up more often.Earlier today I had to fight around two different AFK/auto-attackers at different points,but the boss killed the first one.Second one is literally still there,has been for at least 3 hours.He’s a level 177 Cleric in Grand Corridor.Why dude,why?
Or a way to report those players.Either way,I like some bosses because they deal with problems like that.
The biggest problem is lack of party for boss fight. The party bug does not help neither, and the exp penalty will be the biggest barrier for quest and dungeon partying, which I don’t feel the game is designed for party and contradicting the whole game play.
Some games have auto party. If you are doing the same quest, they will group them together, which is rather a better idea. And the loot distribution needs to be changed for support class, particularly the game designed in a way to have more support.
The moment you and your party where grinding then suddenly boss fight happen XD.
