Was this truly intentional?

Is it intentional for attributes to not check whether the level of the skill they’re linked to is the same as the required level they must be learned? Currently, you can reset your skills after getting, say, bash level 3 attribute so that even a level 1 bash gets the attribute because you’ve learned it. This made me a bit concerned since the current consensus on doppel 3 builds involve using a skill reset potion to reset skillpoints after getting the attributes for Zucken, Zornhau and Redel, saving points for far more important skills like cyclone and deeds while having level 1 zucken/redel/zornhau with the attributes that required them to be level 6.

I haven’t really heard an official statement in regards to this, and I’m optimistic to even expect a legitimate reply given this forum’s notoriety, but I just want an answer if this was actually intended (which might lead to further necessity to buy skill resets the more similar attributes get released) or an unintended exploit that could be solved by adding checks to attributes via checking the current level of the skill they’re linked to?

didn’t read everything but

It shouldn’t be intended really, there’s no reason to put a level requirement otherwise.
Or maybe IMC left it that way to get $ from skill reset

Heard this from a SW friend, it seems that IMC knows this but yeah… use it to your advantage.

I’m manning an archer so any tweaks will help  a2>r1>scout3>falc>merge

hidden p2w feature maybe. could be fixed in the future and you will hear screams of fury about it

Some bugs/exploits are probably intentionally left unfixed because they are not that harmful to players/are beneficial to players in some way. If they are going to fix this, they might as well fix things like
-able to click the attribute multiple times at the attribute shop before confirming to buy multiple attribute levels
-able to open shops when character is offline/buffs persist when offline
-able to carry way more than max weight

This one is convenient imo, you still have the safety net of confirming. Click multiple times > confirm via “OK”

The first one was actually part of an exploit back then where you can buy attributes beyond maximum level. IMC managed to patch it so right now it’s just a convenient thing for token users.

If IMC managed to solve that issue then I could expect them to have the capacity to “fix” the issue in this thread, but so far the responses here are mostly “just use it to your advantage till IMC does something about it”.

This should be the default copypaste answer IMC should use in bug report section, really :joy:
