Tree of Savior Forum

Want to play again maybe

so I was looking around for a decent mmo for me to start playing and the games who picked my interest are dungeon fighter online blade and soul path of exile and tree of savior I wanted to llook into tree of savior first to se if its good to come back to play this game what do you guys think of it is it good

Hi there and welcome back!

IMO the game has improved a lot with time, and IMC is doing a pretty good job with improving it further. Many things have changed, there were some pretty big revamps with battle systems and skills, so depends on where you left it, you might need to go through a good amount of info to get familiar with new mechanics and stuff.

In short, the game is not really pay 2 win (at least what i mean by it, is you can get pretty much everything that paying player gets on your own, and usually not the wallet decides how good you are in the game but time you spent for achieving something)

it’s not as complex and overwhelming with mechanics as path of exile, i’d say, but it has a really nice way of building your character which allows a lot of variance and gives a room for theorycrafting. tho for your first char you better read through some guides and watch some videos to learn the playstyle and skills (best builds have decent synergy between classes you choose, but it’s not like being non-meta makes your char unplayable… but you can screw your build if you pick classes carelessly)

hope it helps

kay thx will download and try it again the last time I played was the first time they gave those rank 8 classes
what would be a good starter beginner acc I should start with

you mean what is a good starter build? or it was not a question?

depends on the playstyle you like, role you want to take in the party and goal (farming gear/silver, world boss hunting, ultimate tank, support or damage dealer, etc.)
also check this link it might give you an idea what suits for you

Hello and welcome back !
A few tips :

  • don’t hesitate to play with https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner, to see what class interest you and then ask advices here (I can help a bit on Wizard and Cleric, I let Archer and Swordman to someone else )
  • when you create a character that interest you, you can get a “Homecoming gift” in your message (in the lodge) and then a “Boost Pack” at the Event Notice Board in Klaipedia, those gifts will really help you to level up
  • don’t forget to buy the buffs in town at a Pardonner, they will also help you a lot for your damage
  • with those buffs, you can solo the dungeon at lvl50, which will get you some nice exp and money for your level
And I’m out of idea, don’t hesitate to ask questions

dunno I don’t mind mouch any role I just want maybe an easier class to start off cause I have no idea what to do and how to proceed in the game also is the leveling part a bit easier than it was back than at least the first parts of it?

Leveling is easier for sure now.
for easy class i would suggest to pick something from cleric tree for self healing, but you would also want to have some damage after the point where Pardoner buffs cannot carry you anymore. so maybe try looking through some cleric classes/build to see what kind of playstyle is more suitable for you.

Wizards should also be easy due to good damage with recent balancing for pretty much all wizard classes. though it will be a bit less solo friendly due to not being able to heal yourself.

The leveling is way easier than before, you can probably one-shot mobs with your auto-attacks until lvl100 for example !
Have you a favorite playstyle ? Like range or melee, physical or magical, etc ? Maybe with or without summon or consumables (some use these to cast spells) ?

is there any good summoning class and what is a high damage class

Well, there is the Bokor class in the Cleric tree (so you can heal your summon), or the Sorcerer and the Necromancer in the Wizard tree, where you take CC to help your summon do damage.
For the Wizard tree, a high damaging combo is Wizard3/Elementalist3/Warlock3 (you can take Featherfoot3 for self healing), but it will need a good investment at high level to do his best.
For the Cleric tree, Cleric/Priest3/Chaplain/Krivis3/Inq is actually really popular, as it’s an auto-attack based combo, pretty cheap to use, but really efficient.
And that’s just some examples

Sorcerer (mage tree).
imo it’s the best of current summoner classes. it can summon a boss (devil type bosses only) who fights alongside, usually dealing the most damage.

other options are bokor (cleric tree) with zombies, but they kind of decay and die over time, while sorc summon is hanging 15 minutes with you. or you can also go nercomancer (tho necro usually is considered a botting class), you can even pair it with sorc as necro is also a mage tree, but skeletons he summons are a bit worse imo compared to sorc boss and tend to die quickly in the end game.

Also worth mentioning summon damage scales with SPR and not INT. and with your weapon matk

I like those 4 examples you made im leaning a bit more to the summoning classes but the auto atacck also sounds really awesome which of those whould you recommend me trying

Honestly, it really depends on you and how you play !
I think the Cleric/Priest3/Chaplain/Krivis3/Inq is easier to begin with, as you mostly auto-attacks, and you don’t need much money for that, but you can also find it boring/don’t like recasting some buffs often. This one generally go with some DEX (for auto-attacks speed) and then INT (for auto-attacks power) or SPR (more powerful buffs for your auto-attacks).
For a Cleric summoner build, you can try Cleric2/Bokor3/whatever/Plague Doctor3 : with this one, you can focus on your summon and go SPR or focus on your damage (but still have summons as meatshield) and go INT !
For a Wizard summoner build, I know them less, but it is common to take Linker2/3 or Cryo3 for the CC, with Sorcerer2 for the best use of your summon, and then, either Necro3 for more summon (but it is considered as a bot build, so I don’t really recommend it ) or Featherfoot/Shadowmancer2 for more damage on your own. This build will be full SPR, your summon is gonna do all the damage until you have a good weapon.

uum I need to think than cause those all sound really cool in terms of viability what of those are really good

Well, the Wizard3/Elementalist3/Warlock3 is one of the best aoe dps in the game, so you’re gonna be wanted in groups, but to be a top dps, you need some investment that may take some times.
The Cleric/Priest3/Chaplain/Krivis3/Inq can solo some endgame challenge without too much investment, but I don’t know if it is well accepted in group.
All of the build I presented are capable of solo leveling and solo the lvl330+ maps, so for me they are all viable, it depends on you after that  You can also look on Youtube some videos, if you want to see how they play !

In term of investment for a beginner :
the Elementalist need a good weapon, and the Sorcerer need a good boss card to summon, so they can be really expensive. The Chaplain and the Bokor ask for less, so they are more beginner-friendly.
(but with the returning pack, if I’m not mistaken, you’re gonna have a really good weapon, so for each build, you should have an easy leveling)

Don’t bother. If you ever encounter an issue, their customer support will treat you like an enemy.

ok il think of it and what il make what is this returning pack btw

I talk about it in my first message, that’s an event that gives you some gift because you haven’t login in a month  In these pack, at lvl50, you’ll find an excellent weapon that you can use really late in the game (probably max level)

ok thx very mouch so I narrowed it down for me to 3 clharcters instead of 4 I want make either the warlock
the sorc or a kiler plague doctor build

I completely forgot about it, but you can find some informations for some builds here :
