Wabblet's High Level EXP Rate Feedback!

grinding is fine but i know we were missing a lot of stuff its just a beta im not too worried about grinding there isn’t anything wrong with it so long as the bar moves LOL even a tad is fine if i’m gaining i’m not complaining

I don’t think i can agree with you, I’ve played literally every game in the market. 90% of all those games are quest grinding to max level. Very little games has the guts to do something differently, party grind.
I wanted to play this game hardcore because i knew it would be a grind game. I love grind game and when you can grind in a party to be the efficient, even better.
Its quite a pity you couldn’t experience what i did but hopefully you can in the near future. Try forming a party or randoms and get on voice chat, meet new people and the game will so much more then you soloing quests for hours.

Really? Because I could have sworn that grinding in one spot is the same as doing one kill quest over and over, nimus the fact that an npc didn’t tell you to do it. Quest encourage exploring. That doesn’t mean that I like quest, but yo equate it to paid drying is so far off base lol.

Also I forgot to mention in my last post. The spawn rate is fine, it just seemed terrible because it only inceeases based off the number of people in an area.

Interesting post you made. Not here to start a flame war but you don’t even know the people i’ve played with for you to even judge haha. But i will agree i no-lifed the beta. I no-lifed it because i enjoy party grind games.
Btw are you sure you want to call me super casual? Haha you sure dont know me =] If i play games at a no-life level, wouldn’t i have at the very least be a good player? Even a decent player?
Btw i play a lot of PvP games, games that actually have rankings. You’d be surprised what ranks/league i am for some of those popular games out there!
But thanks for your comment! Duly noted.

How can anyone be casual and nolifer at the same time?

What you people want is the old school kind of grind, which only worked because back then there was hardly anything to do and expectations were incredibly low, your minds have been crippled by these low expectations.

Casual means playing casually and not all the time, your example says the opposite.

You can’t be serious right?
You think 20+ levels (assuming each level is 1 hour or so post 60) comes from unoptimized grind? Wabblet’s wugushi is the outlier in the comp we played, and otherwise we minmaxed like you described for group comp/blue mobs/grinding/rotations/snapshotting/mobbing in the exact same way you describe minmaxing EV/IV/MoveSets etc.

I can’t believe anyone is actually this salty.

so now you should include me in your parties so i can gather much more data and break down every formula in the game completely…

I think a decent way to fix this is simply expanding the scale of the zones. From the CBT most of the zones were simple narrow “hallways” and circular “corridors”. Enlarge the maps to RO scale field maps, this way competing parties and solo players can have a decent share of the mobs without stepping on each other’s toes. This does not have to be the guiding principle but map diversity is def needed always glancing at the mini map makes me feel like I’m playing FF13, i.e. halway simulator.

In short, bigger maps = more space and more mobs for everyone to kill and for people to sequester thier farming “spots” in without altering xp rates. Just give more spawns in a zone with greater surface area to get thier grinding done in and everyone will be happy.

Its ok bro, he wants to get to max level in 1 day.

wait I don’t get it. You said and never presented a solution.

So from what I could gather from your post, the solution would be removing the grind of pokemon? How would you do that? Well Maybe using a system like the one Chrono Cross had. Or maybe we should just remove the levels in pokemon? I just don’t get the point here.

If you are so afraid to being owned by a hardcore player, why don’t you open a post making a suggestion appealing to a fair pvp (like equalizing stats/equipment)?

This post makes some good points. Regarding mob density, it would be fun to make spawn rates depend on how quickly mobs die. If a party kills stuff too fast, armies of monsters would appear to take revenge, giving them plenty of stuff to kill.

Buffing field boss exp makes a lot of sense since field bosses should be very rewarding to everyone involved and they’re uncommon enough that huge rewards won’t be unbalancing.

As for the complaints against grinding and against the icbt exp rates, most of it seems to boil down to trying to get a personal advantage by dictating game rules and getting butthurt about not being #1. If something isn’t suitable for competition, stop trying to compete over it. This is a co-op oriented MMO, and one game can’t be everything to everyone.

cosx774 - I honestly have no idea why you post here. From the way you talk you obviously don’t enjoy the game, this is a throwback classic MMO with grinding in mind… why not go play some pokemon?

I agree, rates are quite perfect, just a bit more farming (many monsters) zone , and a little bit more blue monster, taht gives huge xp. hitting those blue monsters are so exalting and encouraging to keep grinding and hope to get another one faster =) I liked that.
