Not so soon… maybe let the number of high level players grow first (after f2p). Then with a evil laugh, they implement one person can only get 1 cube from a world boss per day, after you get a cube the boss will not longer drop one for you no matter how much damage you did or whether you were in a party or not. - Joke

This is actually a good solution (not the OP one, I’m refering to @ImVeryJelly ImVeryJelly)

I’d go far ahead and make it that world bosses cube comes once a week (per boss)

This actually sounds reasonable. (1 cube from each world boss per day) They already locked instances behind a counter. Why not world bosses, too? Then again, people can get around this by playing an alt.

Edit: Banning players is an extreme way of handling this.

Well they can play an alt all they want, they did spend the time to get them to high level and equip them with such armor and weapon to be the highest damage dealer again. Especially with so many trade restrictions a alt is almost like a complete separate character that the account have very limited interaction with.

I don’t think limiting the number of cubes you could possibly distribute is the answer - this just keeps prices artificially higher. Limiting to 1x cube/day without changing the current loot distribution system also seriously hurts those who are only able to play during traditional peak hours. I think the better solution is to increase the number of cubes that are distributed per world boss - anyone who meets a participation threshold (via damage, buffing, etc., with the threshold determined independently of other players’ contributions) should receive a cube and be free to participate in the world boss as many times per day as their schedule allows.

I also think the community at large needs to recognize when they have a problem with the loot distribution system versus a problem with the people making the best out of the current system.

Oh, definitely this. They do need to change the current distribution system.

The problem was not prevalent in iCBT, but now it’s like RO boss camping all over again. Without an incentive (or counter-incentive) to leave the boss alone, the boss will still be camped and killed shortly after spawn every time. It will still be hard for other players to participate in the hunt.

I once read on here that Aura Kingdom has a community-shared world boss schedule where players come together at spawn time and let the lower level players tap the boss first, before the high levels move in and finish the kill quickly. I agree with this on some level. I think world bosses should be more about cooperation of the whole community and less about competition between a few parties/guilds.

On the other hand, this really should be in Suggestions and under a different OP.
