Since I missed the kOBT I haven’t played since iCBT2 so I have a question regarding some of the legit builds for Barbarians.
When I was playing the flavor was C2 Barb into Corsair. It seems from what I’ve read it seems the Swordsman has shifted towards C2 Highlander into Hoplite C3 and so fourth.
Are the Barb builds still viable, if so, what are some key points when it comes to effective builds and sustainability? Are Slash builds gone? Do you have to go the Hoplite route in preparation for the higher ranks?
I was barb3 in icbt2 and enjoyed it, but many seem to have turned away from barb-love in favor of high3. (which in ktos with a 0 cd skyliner makes sense, but that might be changed for us, it will still be a good skill though.) – So I’m not sure!
If I was building barb i’d probably go sword1 -> high1 -> barb3 -> doppel2 again… perhaps sword1 -> high2 -> barb3 -> doppel2 would be better but we only have 7 ranks. P:
(this would just be my preference though, i’m not into using spears & have no interest in swordy having more than 1 rank, haha.)
I think barb is viable for the most part – with pve at least, it can be a struggle for some in pvp though…? That was the consensus i picked up… I wish you luck! &/Or hope more knowledgeable ktos players come to your aid.
I’ve seen many builds favor Peltasta for some quality of life at rank 2 for the bridge into Barb, it also gives you the dodge attribute as well. Though you can argue that the cross guard from Highlander is equally rewarding.
I’ve been looking at ways to get to C3 Barb and then take it from there and from what I understand there has really not been any major changes to challenge viability of the build.
