Velcoffer DPS ranking doubts

but whats the point of care abut the ranks ? if we finish the run on less than 30 i dont care about been 5th…

to answer your question on rubric IIRC it’s around 20k± per hit on phase 3 velcoffer. But for the most case I’m only using half of my rubric because we have no kabba for large hp sponge.

the 2nd run though as explained earlier had the correct rankings we assumed.

I don’t care really just throwing in my 2cent that from my observation it is indeed buggy.

but if something its making clerics become 1st maybe the answer its that the others have do some thats reset their dps (stay out of combat for a while IMO its the problem) but if a cleric still been first do you only need to compare their others ranks (?) i you get the first place thats dont meand thet they have bugged to.

could be like when the ranks was reset on WB and players come to test it and found that taos reset their damage whent they become invisible/out of combat, but its dont care somuch on velcoff,
anyway i hope thats some could make an addon to test the dps like on wow.

My fix party (only 1 run) have taunter so I can’t really test it either.
I normally join random party but I can’t really tell cleric to not fade pointlessly during Velco change phase with Poison/Poison around.
Plus with party member dying due to no Linker3/Kabba or just plain bad/lag.
I run like random 5-6 support/dps/healer character from my 10-ish character that can do Velco but normally only 1-2 run goes smooth.
For now I just depends on Gargoyle rank and Velco’s aggro holder to know if my DPS comparable to other meta DPS with higher gear investment.

Could you shed some light on this?
Is this just a glitch? Is this affecting different rankings in game(for example, WB, I know it works a bit different than velcoffer ranks but it’s possible that ranking glitches are occuring)

Or is there a real hidden mechanic for the ranks?
like what @lunettesrouges has mentioned, you really can get rank 1 even after going out of the instance so the 10 second thing isn’t what’s making the rank show incorrect values either.

If this is a real bug, I’d send a proper bug report in forum/ticket.

I just don’t wanna close the possibility that there are other mechanics involved in the rankings.

Something’s definitely fishy with DPS ranking, and not only with Velcoffer runs. Yesterday I was doing a dungeon 300 run, entered the boss’s room maybe half a second before he was killed and was ranked 1, although the only thing I did was probably launch one basic attack… Could last blow reinitialize the ranking in certain circumstances?

Who cares about DPS Ranking anyway? It’s just a rigged crappy system.

It doesn’t take into consideration the differences in weapon usage capabilities (two-handed weaponry wielding Classes will always have a huge advantage because of how attack vs defence works) or the differences in Class tree (e.g. more damage skills on Swordsman & Archer trees on average than Wizard and Cleric trees) and the buff/debuff influences.

It also doesn’t give you any benefit other than bragging rights on your character&equipment being more favored by IMC.

Rather than bothering over a system that showing the bad upgrading-, equipment- and balancing systems’ issues, people should bother about bringing back useless Classes and more frequent Rank updates so we can build as we like it without having to condemn our characters to supporters or damage dealers.

we like testing our dps with moderate gears.

my team is currently running severly under attributed characters with just passing gears around and seeing which composition is effective with it.

Currently AA enchanters seem to show best result, but of course we’re now having doubts with the ranking system that’s laughable.

also as i’ve noted, it might have something to do with WBs, which can be a big issue

In the case of 300 dun, it should be because of people quickly exiting before the ranking is even computed.

I’d suggest this is what Bernice’s is for, but boss RNG, lol.

Woops, wrote test dps twice.

Yes we did bernice a bit on the first week to play around, but as doppel main random bosses annoys me.

Seems to be a great playground for mages though
