You wont use Cafrisun much (only against magic mobs) at higher levels, so it shouldnt be a fixed part of calculations.
With one less hit, that would decrease Maga Rods gain over Catacombs Club.
That said, you are calculating things weird. Ah, you are assuming type bonus damage?
Let’s assume 5 hits.
Maga Rod = 194 + 68x5 = 194+340 = 534 damage added.
Catacombs Club = 230 (avg) + 303 = 533 damage added.
That’s without any upgrades done
Those were my initial findings as well. That means assuming an equal cost, the rod is the better option if you build magic damage besides chaplain, for example Druid or PD.
Altho I now realised I should of done more calculations based on my finding on my Wizard’s rod using, hmm.
About 4m less then the Club. So 2.5m in value It depends, prices might go a million higher since it’s recipe suffers from [market maximum limit], which would make it 3.5m, still 3m less then a Catacombs Club, 2m less on a good day.
Because of that I would advise Maga Rod to any Chaplain over a Catacombs Club.
It’s initial stats are very appealing, but its extreme market price makes it less worth to have. [quote=“HowYouSoGudd, post:21, topic:234332”]
Catacombs also has 1aoe atk ratio, slighty more hp and no lose to SP.

That’s true, but I found Aoe atk ratio to be lacking for a Cleric class.
The only time it helps is against large monsters, or in places with high density monster spawns…which are few and far apart in the game, alas.
