Hey guys,
Im a returning player and i’m here to ask and listen to you guys toughts about the currently on going swordsman build options. I did a lot of research lately and i found a couple builds that maybe fun to play with, but the X of the question is… Is it viable at end game? Could i be a part of a Et party or maybe compete for a world boss?
For now i have a dragoon build in mind (s2>hop3>dop1>drag2) but i couldn’t find any evidence which shows if it works or not
Other option that i like is the murmillo oriented dps builds
Id like to know what you guys think of those options and what Other option you may suggest. This will help a lot since i was retired from the game and dunno how things work now.

im a returning player too and as far as I been testing my lv is only 270 with 120gear.
so far I notice the game is item base now , stats really don’t seem to matter much thus a lot class seem hard to build.
I tried dragoon and the dmg isn’t really that great whether I play full dex,full str or even full con.
I decided to go highland doppel , manage to buy a cheap 220 2Hsword and it makes a lot difference interm of dps and killing mobs compare to previously my dragoon with 120spear.
@freakoi Yeah, it seems that the current meta doesn’t brought to us swordsmen anything other than doppel to get a good PVE. Sadly my character level isn’t high enough to test builds more consistently… Knowing that was what made me came here to the community argue about a possibility.
When you test your dmg as dragoon what rank build you used? I read somewhere that the dmg output of dragoons depends more on time hitting the mob, other words, a good rotation, but i don’t really saw any video proving that nor i can test to see by myself
i manage to hit rank8 lancer today and i must say 2 of lancer skill easily hit 10-20k dmg while using my 120spear which my previous dragoon couldnt at most 10k from gae bolg.
But for most part you be dealing dmg from hop3 skills.
i did try sw3 hop3 drag1 , or sw2 hop3 cata1 drag1 just for mount riding.
i even tried sw1 high3 hop1 cata1 dop1 but this is just my weird style of messing around had fun swaping spear for stabbing then back to 2hsword cyclone around though the skill dismount you would be busy mounting on and off when u use cyclone.
but i must say doppel and highlander skills seem to be more dps
