US Player on SEA Server...Am I Screwed?

More like re roll. Doubt they will entertain you.

You won’t find many English speaking peeps there and they will probably ignore you if you ask questions in English. SEA player here.

well look at the bright side, at least you can read the quests and maps… unlike the korean version

what lies is this… we are already trying persuade people to type in english IN english. 90% of the shouts I’ve seen since the server open today is all in english

that’s because F2P isn’t open yet so people with the access now are those who’s fine on the financial status enough to play the early access (most of SEA gamers besides Singapore are not that much into the paid mmorpg games and you know it)

Once F2P opens it’d be nightmare for English speakers I bet.

I send support ticket. I Explain the situation, I would like to change, at least preserve exclusive packs and remove my character, but this was the answer

I find this answer have no respect for users :(.

Well this is a let down…guess I might as well remake a character now on a US server…or just quit the game all together. It’s a shame the only flower branch of the server will go to waste.

I told you[quote=“roflmaopapa, post:4, topic:226230”]

It’s not their fault nor are they rude. The information had been there for weeks. If they were to specially do it for you, they will have to do it for many others.

That doesn’t even make sense at all lol.

Actually, correction, they did not state that there would be no server transfers from SEA during the first week of game play. It was not until they announced that they would do server transfer that it was hinted at, indirectly, that they would not do transfer from SEA to another server.

Yep. They changed the rules of the server transfer game. Although we are, supposedly, getting an unrestricted server transfer someday. Which is what I’m waiting on too…

I know it doesn’t make any sense but it’s true. You will see it.
We SEA peeps don’t see players from surrounding countries as a whole family most of the time. We will just play with people coming from the same country. Others are just there within the conjoined server. Indonesians will just stick with Indonesians. Thais with Thais. Malaysians with Malaysians etc.

Subjective tho, but the main structure will be just like that, with the other few English speakers minorities that are willing to play with foreigners.

Yes they did not say anything regarding no transfer out of SEA. But they DID say the transfer IS from NA to EU/SEA.

Wonderful negativity there. Too bad I only type in English in games, and I can’t type mandarin in chat and neither would I want to. What other language would I be typing and replying in? :expressionless:

If’s not as if the entire SEA server is made up of pinoys or whichever country that doesn’t use English as their first language. Even our SEA bots advertises in English.

If this game is anything like RO, and I think in terms of management it will be very similar, they will eventually allow unrestricted server transfers, at a cost. People in RO would transfer from one server to another to make huge profit buy and selling and return to their original server.

This is a huge stream of potentially untapped revenue for them.

I see the current situation of this problem with restrictions being related to the current unstable nature of the game. We are all essentially investors of Tree of Savior…this is a Pay 2 Play Beta Test to prepare for a formal Free 2 Play release, where they will gauge revenue source potential off of our comments and needs in the forum.

They did say on the opening announcement of SEA server that you should create your team there only if you’re okay with the server moving into SEA region later though. So it’s pretty illogical to create a team there if you’re not okay with this known fact. OP had it coming and can only blame himself, SEA server had that region tag from the beginning too.

Just watch out for it.

That’s what I was saying. The information has been there. These peeps simply doesn’t read.

And here we got the “They said it’s NA to SEA, but they didn’t say there won’t be SEA to NA!” kind of post. Wut.

Imaginary unicorns everywhere.

I am pretty confident that unrestricted server transfer will eventually be a thing…and again, a lot of the issues this game currently has is based on the fact that it is essentially a beta test for people that want to play now. There will surely be a rush of changes to the game within the first weeks of F2P.

My main concern is being able to play the game.

There’s quite a lot of English speaking SEA players in my experience of MMOs.

So every day that passes, I lose days of tokens, I do not know whether to play in this server (in feidimian with lag for Chileans, it is impossible to play pvp) start again on the other and lose money to use to pay the exclusive pack, I am disillusioned.
