[URGENT] Joint Penalty needs to "claim" mobs or the cooldown needs to be removed

Simply put, every linker is probably aware of the downside of Joint Penalty - in that every time we link a group of mobs together, some asshat Archer (or anyone else really) decides its the perfect time to run over to a group and KS all their mobs.

What makes it worse, especially for newcomer Linkers like myself - is that Joint Penalty is kind of the way we level - especially when you go the support route. JP doesn’t exactly have a snappy cooldown, so grouping up mobs just to have them stolen leaves us in further downtime.

To that I say that something needs to change. Either JP needs to claim mobs for the caster, so that they get loot/exp priority for kills - OR the cooldown on JP needs simply to be reduced significantly or removed. It is far too punishing and easy for everyone under the sun to go after a Linker in the middle of grouping their mobs simply because its the most convenient way to be an ■■■■■■■.

Cooldown reduction is nice. No need for claiming mobs since that’s literally stealing other people’s mob instead, which is exactly what you are trying to prevent.

Joint Penalty’s cooldown should not be removed. That’d be way too broken, but I would like it to be like kToS and go back to being 15 seconds instead of iToS’ 22 seconds.

Like when I use a 25s CD poison and someone bursts my mob?

You can’t just make Linkers “claim” those mobs. Every damn place I go to grind, there are linkers who gets my mob on their skills. Unless every atack now claims mobs, this will be awful.

The problem is the stupid player who ks for fun, not the mechanic of the skill.

Invite the KSer to your party. Odds are they’re on the same quest as you are.
