they have to speed up the process of improvement of the game, because other MMORPGs, will launch end of the year, with this evasion of players may be higher. Ex: Lost Ark
Most people donât play ToS because itâs the best thing since sliced bread. They play it because itâs Niche and has something 98% of other MMOs donât. Or so, unlike others, per-see. You canât compare apples with oranges, when the crowd that leaves for games like Lost Ark, were going to leave anyways no matter the improvement.
hum ⌠then the problems that the game is going, are not resolved, you think, that many players continued to play TOS? and will not seek the MMORPGs of the same style, really and Much Love.
I did not say they should not be resolved. They very much should be; but that is not going to keep the people who are here because nothing else is better atm, here. I fore-see ToS being around quite awhile. It does not/will not hold a large player-base. I just donât see that happening. Specially here in the West, where âmostâ MMOâs player generally like to be hand held and given everything. Or themepark MMOâs. Ala WoW, FFXIV.
I know in my case, I play ToS for various reasons. Some of mine are as follows.
- It kills time
- Anime Style which no other MMO has.
- Class Building (Big one of mine) is huge. No matter what the Meta crowd will try and tell you, you have to play to succeed. Theyâre just narrow minded people, even with the DPD meters that recently got added we have learned not everything is as we thought. Not to mention ET being beat with what was non-meta (fl15+)
- nothing really like it on the market.
ToS became niche after it couldnât deliver the necessary performance to enjoy the content they promised. The mainstream didnât leave for some other hype but because they want to enjoy an at least working product.
Iâm quite sure most remaining players prefer a big community as in the beginning.
Now the problem isnât the attraction of the other games but that people settle with their circles somewhere else.
It was Niche far before that. Every game has a huge boom at the start, and then as soon as numbers start falling people cry "deadâ. I can literally go through dozenâs of different games that are supposedly dead or should have been shut down by now (according to its players of back then). These are known as MMO hoppers. Did a large % leave early due to bugs and optimizations? Yeah, prolly. Would they have most likely stayed regardless? I donât think so.
Going through the forums, I find most post that arenât doom and gloom happier with the smaller player base. Because if one thing ToS fails at; itâs community aspects. The game wasnât built around being 1000âs of players. Whats the first thing most people do when they see you enter thier channel while questing? They change channels.
the problems ? They will be resolved, but the delay and that frustrates the players, so the need for repairs to graficos engines, bugs, and other problems that have a high level on the impact of evasion players, and the players of punishment for server account SA = Silute by use of Hacks and Exploits.
in a matter of graphs related to anime, blade and soul and superior to the TOS.
Well, I sure think so. There were around 50k people during the first two iCBTs and during the April-May release.
Also, ToS has nothing to do with Anime styles, the concept looks completely different.
Blade and soul and ToS look nothing alike. I prefer ToS much better. Blade and Soul is like Anime porn, westernized.
Anytime I get into a MMO, I assume that about 7-8/10ths of the population will dwindle over the first year. Granted this happened faster with ToS due to bugs/lack of IMC being forthcoming and such.
Iâm not saying that IMC shouldnât fix things or white knightng them in anyway shape or form, but I just donât believe this game was meant to ever hold more then 5-10k peopleâs attention.
Any of my friends that play or have played, simply played with me because it was the newest thing. I think that fits a lot of people in general.
Different types all have their choice out that the issue of Earth Tower, Tree of savior and poor, because the game aura kingdom both PVP, as the tower that supports 40 players, no drastic drop of FPS, and propociona fun most of the players, because I believe that the most current server players are the old ragnarok.
Those wanting drastic Engine/Coding improvements arenât going to get it without a major overhaul. Which relies on ToS shutting down, and quite frankly, I donât see IMC being able to do that. Nor really wanting too.
Aura Kingdom which I have played and couldnât hold my interest for more then an hour, was not built on a potato engine.
indeed, the graphic engine tree of savior, and horrible, agree on certain points, but himself to play one game, onnde computers values between 3000 and 5000, have such problems in one game and ridicule because only see those defend or oppose arguments that the game is bad and dying, are those users who are masochistic or fanboys the old ragnarok because the minority really and newcomer in this regard, and to see the game out of this hole that every day is getting bigger, I believe that a basic 10k players at most 15k would be great, but the reality and the other, if the problems are not resolved polls, the estimate of the community and be around 2k to 4k in schedules peak server, outside the neglect IMC with the players in relation to other problems that are seen in the forum daily.
sorry my English, do my native language.
Thatâs an utterly arbitrary claim. There are enough examples where games have recovered or grown over time.

Because?
If you refer to the need to transfer resources, that could be but you donât have any information about this.
If youâre talking about the business strategy to revive the product as discussed in other threads already, shutting down first is preferable but not a requirement.
To me it feels like the game wasnât built for being a totally niche game either. With 6 servers and the playerbase scattered across 280 levels (which will only get worse in the future) it can be a nightmare to find a dungeon or misson group esp. if you canât play at the peak times.
(I havenât played in a while, but a few weeks ago being on Fedimian and not being able to play in the late afternoon or evenings wasnât that much fun âŚ)
Iâm not saying ToS wonât recover some of their lost player-base. But itâs never going to be âaliveâ (as I assume most people need to feel 100000âs of people for it to feel that way. Where it feels just fine to me now.). Thatâs not to say that over time, the player base canât slowly become bigger either. Letâs put it this way; If IMC continues on this route, you really think those numbers will improve? And do you really think IMC is going to change all of a sudden? IMC had already stated that they were over whelmed by the amount of players and werenât expecting it. Iâm pretty IMC was expecting a much smaller player base, and hey, they got it.
It relies on shutting down. Because for example, like XIV, it shut down after it prepped and iirc for like 3-4 months(?) Been awhile. And thatâs coming from a very wealthy large company. IMC shuts down for 6 hours to include 3 small patches and some TP items. Need I say more?
While I sympathize with you on the LFG through the dungeon finder (yeah it has itâs moments where, I know Iâm not going to find a group in under 15 minutes) Iâve rarely had much trouble. Think I waited over 15 once or twice. Theres been a few MMOâs hell even WoW, where I waited much longer than that. FFXIV included. But generally, I agree with you. I think the Dungeons need to be X-serverâd as much as possible.
Well, a 15 minute queue would be totally fine for me. Sadly I often sat in queue for 30 minutes or more and at that point I usually just gave up and did something else.
To be honest even a 30 minute queue would be okay, if I could just play the game while waiting. Thatâs why longer queue times never really bothered me in other games.
It feels like at least the LFG system in ToS was designed around having a huge player pool to pick people from and quickly put groups together.
Well i think the proof is in the pudding⌠Weâre getting updates we got R8 announced for Korea in a couple weeks. Develops moving along just fine. Even if they kind of suck at testing before patching for iToS.
But I mean the only real information we have about the money theyâre making is from Nexonâs stock and thatâs a stretch. But nexonâs doing fine as normal. And they brought a bunch of IMCâs stock from the grandia espada guys Hanbitsoft aka Satan. That said that the two IMC presidents own 60% of the stock themselves so they maintain control no mater what they do with their remaining stocks. I think nintendo also brought some of the stock for mobile games or something⌠but that may have been a rumor⌠I canât recall if there was an official article or just some guy commenting on it.
Stocks are not an indication of financial health of a company, in fact the two often donât correlate at all. If that were the case EA would have gone out of business after every major controversy.
