That’s it! I think they should select between people that didn’t get selected in the 1st cbt, then people registered after the 1cbt ended and THEN people registered AFTER the 2nd cbt announcement. This to prevent anykind of “selling”/“multiple abbounts” thing. What do you think?

Personally I agree with you, but others wouldn’t (With responses like “Everyone should have an equal chance” and “I just found out about this game last week, but I want to play it just as much as everyone else”). Liken it to a launch day of a game release (Call of Duty for example): People stand and camp outside of the store for hours before midnight so they can be the first ones inside to get their game. There’s the people who pre-ordered it (iCBT 1 Players), and the people who didn’t, but will still be able to get one of the extra-stocked copies (People without a key).
Now since those without pre-orders have been sitting outside first, they should be one of the first to enter the store and get a copy, instead of being on equal-ground with the group of people that arrive a few minutes before the store opens.
I just think that people whom didn’t get selected for the 1st icbt are more aware of possible bug/game mechanics(at least they should) because they’re from the very start.
In my case, i’m following the game from the far 2011 when it was announced. I’ve seen every gameplay on YouTube and followed a lot of livestream(yes there were a lot of live back in the day). I theorycrafted a lot on the wizard classe and didn’t get selected in the 1st cbt and it was OK.
I wanted to help make this game better. Most Of people that got selected sold the keys, a large portion Of the players(very large) didn’t fill in the poll or report bugs.

Are you suggesting they interview 5 000+ players to find who has “pure intentions” to make it more “fair” ? Never gonna happen and would be to much time consuming, plus no matter which method they chose there is going to be people with a work around or a way to cheat the selection system. I’m tired of people begging for keys and bashing the key distribution system and the other testers. I didn’t fill the poll, because there is no way to change the e-mail account once it’s set and it wasn’t my main e-mail because I registered with my facebook which has my old e-mail, plus it’s a fact that there was a bug with the sending system and a lot of people didn’t get the e-mail. For the bug reporting, unless you’re sitting directly behind someone you have no way of knowing that. So get off your entitled high horse and generalising “most people” because you’re salty for not having a key, because most people are testing the game and reporting the problems or else the beta would be inefficient and the game would never come out, even if there is a small portion who try to profit from having a key instead of helping it progress. I have a friend who has been following the game for years, coming on the forums everyday and he hasn’t gotten a key either, you just have to deal with it… It’s the way she goes !
Increase exp rates for beta so people can try out lvl 150-200!

I’m just assuming that, on an average 9k+ tester, only 1,4k+ did full the poll, that should be the purpose Of the beta(a-side from the bugreporting).
I’m pissed off… you’re right. Everybody in my identical situation should be. Have you seen how many 4/5 days older account are around? Do you think that your friend, that is a veteran in terms of waiting time, have more chance to join this beta then the fake account ones? I doubt it. I’m just saying that, this random working selection isn’t fair. That’s all.

Back to statistics! If you have a population of 9k or so, to have a 95±5% confidence level and interval, you’d only need 368 people to actually be recorded for to get a good representation of the whole population so with 1.4 people taking the full poll, you’d have a confidence level of 99.9±4%.
There were even some issues with the poll email not reaching the participants as @zordagoth has stated.
Of course you’re right that it is unfair that there are some people who have fake accounts might get keys but trust in IMC to exclude those accounts. Also, IMC has yet to say that the selection is a random selection and that they are going to make another announcement later about the new tester selection.
As for if it is random selection, it’s not really unfair as it’s all based on your luck in getting the key but instead it feels unfair. It’s like saying someone who has been buying the lottery for 10 years never won once but someone who buys it for their first time gets the jackpot.

If I don’t get picked for the Beta I won’t throw a fit for it because I know in the end i’ll get to play the game
