Up-ing a Squire to support my main char

Hi there.

I’m a returning player and i decided to make a Squire for supporting my main char, a Monk Inquisitor.
I like Swordman gameplay too so it was a good deal BUT …
But … after SOOO many search about a good build, i found this one one the forum LINK
It seemed to be a good build until now but i’m beginning to doubt.

What do you advice me ? Must i redo all the char for something else ?
Knowing that i want to earn silver with this char (solo dungeons and farming).
There is my CURRENT BUILD

Thank you for your attention. I will appreciate some detailed answers.

See ya.

Not sure if a troll or just…

The build you’r linking goes to Rank6 only and is really old (2015). Just go Swordman Higlander3 Squire3 if it’s only to support your characters.

Sorry, it’s not a troll ^^"
So i must redo all my character … That’s make me sad

But, when i see on tosbase for Squire build, they always take Peltasta.
I don’t know if i might continue with it or not (without noticing the old build)

EDIT: Is it possible to have a good build to follow ?

Not a swordsman expert but if your planing on just having your squire set a repair shop (repair shop > Maintenance shop) then any build that would help you reach Squire3 the fastest would be the way to go.

On your plan to make this Squire for solo dungeon and farming your current build is fine i think my tip would be just to make this char a repair shop besides there are other classes (archer/wiz) that are better for solo dg and farming than the whole swordsman class.

If you just want a support build, do what you want.
Most common are Highlander 3 or Peltasta 3.
I have a Sword, Pelt3, Squire3, Templar just for my guild, buffs and base camp.
I dont even bother to do anything with him like Saalus, DG. I just log in to put base camp and food or set a shop.
Currently has other better options to farm like SR and FF.

HL3 Squire3 is just not that good in any place except maybe in lvl 100-200 of missions… at least pelt3 can SB mobs for you to whack away.

Thanks for all your reply. I’ll continue with my char and just skill reset.
Here is the build i aim for. BUILD
I still don’t know what to take after. But thanks anyway.

For Squire, if you’re planning on getting Refreshment Table, I suggest maxing Base Camp as well to have more duration. Camp increases duration of buffs when you’re near it.
I think it’s 20% more duration per level. Level 10 would be triple the duration.

Best candidate for rank 8 for that build would probably be Murmillo.

Hmm. So i didn’t understand what i saw.
Let me explain ^^"

I saw that the Squire food is very usefull for Monk. So i intended to craft some and send them to my monk.
Maybe it’s not possible to do ?

EDIT: If so then i must take off the table and just max shop skills.

You can set up your Refreshment Table and eat the food with other characters, no problemo.

As far as I know, you don’t craft the food and trade it over like that. You craft the food in the Refreshment Table.

What you can do, however, is set up camp and food, switch over to your Monk and eat the food.
Full camp makes it last about an hour and 30 minutes.

I’ll recommend an all-round build for you @Romsh

Swordman C3 > Pelt C1 > Squire C3 > Anything

I have a Squire/Templar and during the reset event I tried all sorts of build to make the job efficient and I think the above build is the best one so far. It is an auto-attack build. Your stat will be full DEX.

With 500 DEX and Pain Barrier, your auto attack will be super fierce. Get a decent weapon and you can hit 6k+ per hit. Get some crit rate gear and your crit can go up to 10k.

The build is really efficient where you can solo farm almost anything. You don’t need to spam SP potion which saves you a lot of silver, and you don’t take a lot of damage from physical attack because of your evasion and block.

So far I can’t find another build that tops this one for a Squire.

Oh. I’m glad that i post here before Squire C1 :open_mouth:
It’s too bothersome to make so many switch just to have sandwich
That was the only thing that make me up a Squire because if it’s just money making, some other class are better for that :frowning:

Maybe some advice according which classes are good for money making and which classes are good for farming ?
Thank you anyway. You prevent me to do 100 more level for nothing

SR are good but needs investment itself to be a good farming char. tho with proper equips I think they can make 1m per 10min? not sure I’m probably wrong on this.

Necrosorc is good but I suggest you stay away from it because of all the negative image surrounding it (AFK farming botting macro user etc)

Squire is only good for pocket change. I normally make about 1 to 2 million silver per week selling Repair. But it is an afk seller and you don’t have to do anything except for putting up the stall.

I think every job if build right can farm. Some are just more efficient than others. If making money is your goal, then I suggest leveling multiple jobs. The quests alone will probably get you a hefty sum of silvers per character.

Stall afk farmer - Squire or Pardoner
Dungeon/Mission solo - Cleric job
Dungeon Speed run/World map farming - SR

Hmm. Ok. So i assume that Monk Inquisitor can “easily” Dungeon and Mission but not World Map Farming as good as the Schwarzer Reiter ?

Because if playing Monk and a little of patience can do the job, i’ll go on my monk tomorrow.

EDIT: i’ll answer tomorrow. It’s late here.

That is correct. The only reason for SR being good at world map farming is due to its mobility. SR’s killing speed is mediocre.

Here are 2 videos of what I believe is the primary reason to make a squire combat wise.

Pelt3 is ok but not necessary. It does have a really easy time in grinding parties. If you plan to take it to r8 you 're pretty locked in to murmillo. It’s gonna be really expensive though.

HL3 is ok. If you plan to take it to r8 the only viable choice would be shinobi. It has a good shinobi burst with a decent enough arsenal of HL skills to rotate.

Sword3 is a lot more flexible. You can go pelt1 on r4 for [swashbuckling] or barb1 for [cleave]'s slash bonus damage (your shinobi burst will be slash damage).

hello, you can consider putting shinobi class with your current build, for little movement speed increase from class attribute when running/dashing around world map and making warp(base camp) for your main or new character. also it can help you with fancy play with clones when doing solo dungeons.

I understand what you say. I’ll retry the whole character. Perhaps not going to Plet. But switching for making a camp and go back to my monk is too borring for me.

I think, i haven’t experienced this but i assume with the cleric spell, Monk have perhaps a really slow movement speed but i’m sure i can go everywhere for farming without other problems. The only problem i saw is the SP regen due to the recent change.

So, i don’t know why to have another character.

EDIT: I think i’ll focus on my Inquisitor for now and i’ll see with the next ranks update what to do. Thanks anyway for answering me ^^
