Unplugging usb controller while client is closed forces you to lose control of your character upon log-in

Please fill in as much as you can :

Date and Time : always

Game Control Mode : any

Where it happened : as soon as you log in

Bug Description :
If you have a USB controller plugged in the first time that you play, you will never be able to play without the controller plugged in. Upon logging in, your character will walk towards the bottom left of the screen for an eternity. The only way to resolve the issue at the moment is to plug your controller back in. It doesn’t matter when you plug the controller back in, but this only seems to happen if the controller is unplugged while the client is closed. Someone else has the same issue here: Constantly walking into bottom right wall

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. have a USB controller plugged in the first time you play
  2. unplug the controller while the client is closed
  3. launch client again without the controller plugged in
  4. watch your character walk into walls for eternity

Having a similar issue here. My controller has a button that switches it off (right next to my mini-map button) so i keep switching it off by mistake. But for me when the controller gets disconnected in game, my mouse locks up/becomes disabled and i lose control of everything until i restart my computer.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Load game with USB controller plugged in
  2. Unplug the controller while the client is open
  3. Mouse stops responding and i can’t do anything in game until i restart pc.
