Iām still laughing at the 67 edits in the op post.
I agreed that he (OP) seems to be like a ā ā ā ā for acting like a bot in the bot-packed farm spot. However, I think the ban is unjustified as GM should repeatedly whisper or private message him to verify (instead of just some general public chat like āPlease say somethingā or āWonder if this is a bot or someone just donāt like to chatāā¦ Those public chat lines are very vague as I see in the video there are also 7-8 guys around him).
The GM needs to specify who heās talking to and also needs to use the private message as someone stated:
An example I encountered before in RO days: GM warps you to a corner of the map, asking in whisper chat "Please answer this question within 30 seconds, otherwise you will be locked for suspicious behavior: what the result of 7+8=?
On the side note, special thanks to OP for introducing a wonderful background song, lol =)))))
The op was a casual botter tho. He/she supported botting for not rmt purposes. op has been accused lf botting before end of story the wanna be female is gone and it was a well deserved ban. Maybe op will go out and get a job now who knows op made a post in a thread before how he was jobless because hos agents couldnt find him workā¦ Sounds like a childish kid who is picky on what type of jobs he can get obviously no a good one. This thread needs to die because op is never coming back and i hope more people who casual bot get banned also
Kinda odd though that I donāt see Avidigy in this ban list.
That june 23rd tho
I think that list come before op get banhammer

Ahh I see. Glad to see Snowdance is gone though. Looks like IMC is slowly picking up pace.

My post specifically stated at the beginning that I was defending nobody.[quote=āDarkon, post:207, topic:302771ā]
I will not defend either the GM nor the OPā¦

Instead I intentionally pointed out one valid concern that a legitimate player can miss the speech confirmation prompts from even a GM speaking in chat by simply having off chat bubbles and closing the chat pane (as easy as pressing the Escape key once).
I then went on to reaffirm that OP, however, did not have chat closed (suggesting that my statement doesnāt even apply to OP as it was open)
My one and final point is simply that using in-game text as the final confirmation by basically asking a player āHey, are you a bot??ā is not acceptable.
And to players suggesting that even the GM costume is enoughā¦ I say no. In our own settings file we can (and has been recommended in the past for several reasons) limit the number of on-screen actors present. Down to just ourselves being drawn.
If we want to play with our chat off by pressing escape, and if we want to turn of chat bubbles and choose to display no other player on screen (not hacking, not an addon, but simply by editing the user preferences that is made available to us in a text file no less) thenā¦ wut do?
Iām not even playing the devilās advocate. I honestly and wholeheartedly believe that speech confirmation is not acceptable. I donāt even care for the OPās innocence or guilt, but, I think this thread was a good way to bring to attention the inadequacies going forward. Pretend for a second OP didnāt understand English in the slightest? Weāre in the International version and, regardless of the region status or population bias of other servers, a player is still free to choose the server of their choice. Soā¦ what then? Player doesnāt understand English and has actors removed (for those contesting that simply seeing a GM costume is enough, like having someone wearing a police uniform on the street and stopping everything youāre doing that second to run up to them and ask āAm I in trouble officer?ā lol) so what is he supposed to see in-game without a GM pop-up/prompt for action that would possibly let him know to respond?
To be honest I think the OP was botting. But that is not the point. The point is that GMās need to be better equipped with in-game functions to prompt response from a player and not rely on asking them if they are a bot. Not when players can disable all chats in-game in less than 5 seconds from default. And I want to reiterate that I am glad GMās are in-game doing something, anything at all, to help combat the bots; they just need actual GM tools going forward.
did you guys know bots never jump? lol.btw you obviously care about getting banned because you try to defend ur position about ānotā botting. this is hilarious. itās even more obvious that youāre botting with the videos you posted lmao. i got a good laugh with this.

Aināt that the fun part of it
OP severely underestimated the intelligence of other people (and overestimated his/her intelligence) when he/she thought that āvideo = no bot hur durrā.
(That, and calling GM ājanitorsā lol)
Much confident, such wow
Lastly, as i explained to youā¦
āI TOLD YOU SO~ā
You didnāt respond because you wanted to get the GMās mistake on video and expose him publicly. Iād say you deserved the ban
the video says it all. if he didnāt post the video we may have believed him lol.
Wholeheartedly agree with every point.
And even if @Avidity is a bot, he shouldāve been banned only after a proper procedure.
This includes (at very least):
- Use of a proper unhidable font.
- Clear statement like: āPlease answer or you will get bannedā.
At his point his ban is absolutely unjustified.
Just an eample:
The officer found the drugs in a person Aās house. All the neighbors say he a drug dealer. Person A is arrested, the neighbors happy.
But the officer did not have a search warrant. Person A released, the officer fired.
Only because I think that everyone should understand that a GM standing next to you typing messages should trigger a red flag like, āWonder if itās me? Guess Iāll say something.ā
However, since this game allows you to turn off the chat window and speech bubblesā¦ if you saw a GM standing next to you for 2-3 minutes would you at least think to turn the chat window on for a sec and see if heās saying anything?
Again, itās common sense to me and apparently many other people here. But if you prefer we remove the need for common sense and make it blatantly obvious it doesnāt matter to me either way. Unhidable fonts are definitely a good idea just in case they have the chat window hidden. Letting them know they will be banned? Sure. It will guarantee that people who donāt understand what a GM is will get the idea.
Just remember that, to the people who claim that a GM should teleport bots to places and ask them questions and what not, this is spending too much time just to ban someone gives the bot owner an advantage. They can program their bot to trigger an alarm to the owner to let them know if theyāve been removed from their assigned zone. If the ban takes too long the bot owner can return and act like a āhumanā in time to evade the ban.
That is my concern
But yes, teleporting them to jail for a further ovservation is a bit too much. I remember how back in RO some smartasses managed to evade bans by setting an alert or adding jail map server IP to a firewall blocklist, lol.
Let me guess: You think that killing the Orlando Shooter was police brutality and he was the biggest victim in the whole storyā¦
You victimizes the culprits. People can not account for the risks they take, people should be treated like retards. Authority are demonic.
Any chance of you being a 14 years old socialist?
