It’s because they do not seem to have programs to differentiate you from a bot.

In town, many people AFK, it’s common practice, and you’re not actually using your toon. You are just sitting there. Same could be said if I sit down on a field to take a break from grinding and go get a drink of water as a Corsair. A GM wouldn’t bother with this. However in the case of Sorcs/Necros, you’re character is still killing mobs, and all you need to do is have a auto-pot program. If you’re not actually botting, you’d have to tab in at least every 2-5 minutes. Luckily GM Durian is the patient kind, but that could change, or you could have another GM patrolling who isn’t as patient. Either way this seems to discourage it.

Another fine example is people who Z farm by leaving a heavy object on their Z button. They do not consider this botting, but you are not at your desk, and it can warrant a lesser ban, perhaps longer if you are caught doing it repeatedly.

My personal opinion? You shouldn’t be allowed to. It’s really not fair to everyone else out there who has to be present constantly to use their skills. I’m not vehemently angry about it as some people are, and since it seemed legal for a time I considered doing it myself for some lazy silver. You should check search on here about AFK farming, there’s some really long threads that goes over everything with both sides discussing it (or, more like arguing it.)

Aren’t auto-pot programs considered a sort of bot though? They automate a game action that can give you an unfair advantage.

Exactly, and that’s one reason why Sorcs/Necros could get in trouble. As long as you are physically replenishing your own mana every few minutes, it shouldn’t be a problem. There again though GMs do not seem to have a way to tell if you are using a program or doing it yourself, so if you don’t answer quick enough, you could be banned.

It is true. Mindy is also using camwhore pics, just like this Avid person. They catfish men into believing they’re real when in reality they’re just desperate guys looking for attention. I think Mindy got doxxed by some people before in Orsha, but I’m not sure. Even so, it has begun!

There will always be dishonesty in everything even in gaming. But as for me, I play legit not for the sake of being an honest person but for the sake of changing of ones mind and behavior through Jesus. That is repentance in all ways in life. No more bootleging, no more piracy, no more stealing,no more lawlessness, no more doing things which you know already is wrong , or rather to put it generally no more sinning and of course spoiling the wisdom of what is right and wrong in your heart. Is the ticket system any good? What are the odds of a Sorc/Necro getting unbanned, if they actually weren’t using auto-pot and just didn’t reply to a GM fast enough?

(I’m aware people claiming wrongbans were actually breaking the rules and just feel the need to be salty about it, but assuming a wrongban for this reason actually happens)

Honestly customer support sucks from my own experiences of just trying to ask them questions about payments, in game bugs, or quest issues. There isn’t a way to reply back either if you get an copy pasted answer that doesn’t help, which is what they often do.

So I’m honestly not sure. You’d probably be better off making a ticket and contacting staff on here. At least staff usually doesn’t copy paste.
