Two handed swords, while they have slightly better attack power than their one handed counterparts, are significantly underpowered. The reasons for this include (but are not limited to) the following.

Lack of bonus stats that many offhand weapons give, such as the elemental attack on Arde or Manamana.

Lack of secondary attack type that many offhand weapons give.

Lack of secondary attack type that other two handed weapons give, such as the ability to use a staff as a melee weapon.

Expensive cost of slotting 2 handed weapons. For example, the 3rd slot on a 2 handed weapon is more expensive to open than the second slot on a main hand 1 hand weapon plus the first slot on the offhand weapon combined.
I would like to suggest a buff to improve 2 handed swords, that addresses items 2 and 3. I think that 2 handed swords should be allowed to use the secondary attack button, which would provide an attack of either pierce or strike.
Currently, 2 handed swords only provide slash damage, and all strike or pierce damage must come from skill usage. But even with skill spam, swordsmen still do quite a lot of plain jane melee attack. This makes 2 hand swords and the classes that use them completely ineffective vs all mobs that are not cloth, which is 3/4 of the armor types in game.
So, please buff 2 hand swords by giving them a secondary attack of a different type than slash, thank you.
