do you think this build, can be viable as a hybrid tank? yes? no? feedback pls
- You lose swash buckling’s buff the minute you switch from 1h+shield to 2h.
- High Guard would likely go unused.
- Guardian’s evasion attribute is very nice however
You’re going to have more trouble than you are success with this build unless you use 1h+shield exclusively.
If you’re deadset on tanking with 2handers, ignore Peltasta and get Highlander to c3 for lv15 Cross Guard, alternative leave HL at c2 and get Barb to c3 instead for Frenzy and stuns.
Finally, pump CON and DEX. CON for health-tank, DEX for evasion, crit, and generally keeping your damage up.
Max the Provoke attribute under the swordsman tree
For Rank 7+, consider Centurion or Squire.
Thanks for your input, although i have mastered the ability to switch between 1h/shield and 2h fairly quickly so i can use swash buckling when needed, i may do the cross guard setup but idk how effective cross guard is and also isnt cross guard scale with how much STR u have?
are you goin tank mainly for swash buckling?
if so, you could just lure mobs by walking beside them and overkill them with highlander>barb, no need for aggroing with skill then doing subpar dmg

I actually thought of this using cross guard to block attacks, let me know how it goes when you reach high level maps.
If you aren’t playing Tree of Highlander or Tree of Krivis then you’re playing the wrong game
