I’m bad at arithmetic and probability calculations. (and math in general)
However… isn’t 39% just the percentage of people who will get keys over the percentage of people who don’t?

5000 keys.
12800-4999 = 7801

Your individual chance to get a key among the remainder of players who won’t get a key is…

1/7801 = 0.012818869%

I hope I’m wrong here. (someone correct my math, please)
This calculation assumes that only one key exists (the other 4999 are already taken by one of the 12800)

Don’t want to start panicking but I am wiling to do stuff that I won’t be proud of in a few weeks just to get the key, such as selling family members, organs (mine or someone else’s), and other shady things.

Get on your hype trains everyone :smile:

Pray and Play :pray:

you have to discount the number of people registered that is not entitled to get a key because they already have their CBT’s like Koreans, Chineses,etc.

There is no way, with the information we have, to give an accurate percentage.

Dont forget the ones who are already garenteed it from ghub

@specterr
No… but let’s assume that every new account -after- the announcement is included.
So a decent average chance is something like

10000 new accounts (presume 70% have read the part about non-kr/indo/etc)
7000 people who fit into the requirement.
1 / 7000 - 4999
~0.05%

@Himself
If I actually include this… that value doesn’t actually change much.
(if say 500 keys are reserved for contributors… it makes less than a 0.0001% difference in individual chance, ceteris paribus)

Yes, I guess you are right. It is around those numbers,

Good luck everyone :slight_smile: odds aren’t that high :open_mouth:

Sorry if this was asked already, I couldn’t find it but what does “entered” mean?

And may the odds be ever in your favor!

Just so you guys know, the user counter is no longer a valid source of information for Chance. Why? because IMCgames is aware of the people who are using programs to spam make accounts. And being greedy users, IMCgames plans not to give those users beta keys. If you look in the user list. Most of the users have random spam names. No human owning account does that.

39%? looks like pretty good odds?

They said 5000 Beta keys, and there is 10k users. Additionally they said they wont be giving keys to those who have multiple accounts (probably more then 2?) because users been using spam bots to make accounts. If you looked at the user list youll see it.

That doesnt make sense. On top of that there is 10900 Members. Theyre giving 5000 keys out. If youre 1 out of those 5000 people to get a key. It means you have about 50 percent chance of getting a key.

But the fact theyre taking action against those who made multiple accounts using bots, youre more likely to get a key.

why even cap the number of beta testers eng version… :l its more fun if there are many players right? the more the merrier :smiley:

@lemuel_iv I imagine it’s because you’ll have over 5000 people on a single server trying to quest and kill mobs.

With it being Beta they wont have too many dedicated servers active for more than what they’re expecting.

Basic Math:
I have 10 Apples and i will eat 4 of them: I ended up eating 40% of the apples. It doesn’t matter what apple i ate first, the result will always be the same.

hmmm… if thats the case why not make multiple servers like in other mmo’s, that also solves some lag issues caused by the amount of players online at the same time.
