I said lots, not all. Theres a world of difference between heavily botted games and games where botters have to pay for their bot and you can’t see them all over the place.

The game economy suffers much less, theres lower gold sellers spamming trade channels, etc. But you must be new to online games to not know that.

play World of Warcraft there’s a lot of people doing it in World of Warcraft go to some of the older zones and there is no business model on an MMO it will protect them from bots

Go to Silkroad or Ragnarok and you will see only bots playing the game. Your comparison to World of Warcraft is just plain dumb.

all online games where you can trade with other players these days have bots

I played the first Ragnarok its not really that bad
but Silk Road and the other hand I have to say it’s probably the worst 7 bots for every player

Official ragnarok, or a private server? Official f2p is a disaster area of bots. Private servers go from bot-free to a huge mess, naturally, depending on the staff.

I wouldn’t mind seeing something done about the rampant horror that is the community. If a buy to play model does the trick then that’s fine with me. If they want to keep it free to play they’ll need to be prepared to spend a lot of time dealing with people.

This is the first time I’ve seen a place on the Internet where Godwin’s Law is actually appropriate.

if you have a problem with the community of the game then why are you here
but the microphone item does need to go

I hope they change a lot of things and improve this game because right now in the current state there will be no one in it. IMC seems to be focusing only on linear leveling, grinding maps until what 400-500? People will leave it when they come to 100 because they would have spent 40-50 hours already into the game and still got no where. Also f2p is okay but the servers are gonna be loaded with little kids and retards (like now) shouting at each other and to people who says that you should block it HOW THE HELL AM I GOING TO FIND A GROUP FOR DUNGEON OR LEVEL FARM GROUP YOU IDIOTS if you block the main chat.Maybe it’s because of the location of the servers i guess americans and latin american should definitely have different server also eu should have one to at least. Long story short this game needs at least 1 a year before releasing because there are so many things to change or improve.

Because the game itself is really really good. I would hate to see it ruined by rampant immaturity.

Thank the MMORPG gods that this game will be released on the Steam platform. Alot of the users in Steam know the value of games and are willing to pay if they think they are getting their money’s worth. I definitely agree this game will win financially because Steam knows how to make it work. Just add in a nominal fee, and that will get rid of the majority of players who choose not to act responsibly in a game just because they are not paying anything for it.

complaining about it is not any better

I played the game regardless I don’t give a care about everybody else’s maturity level

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. If people don’t voice complaints about this sort of thing nothing will change.

I’m glad you don’t mind playing, but when a new player logs in for the first time and sees people advocating for genocide how long do you think they’ll stick around?

That sounds like every other MMO on the market.
P2P, B2P, and F2P.

People are trying to make it off as if someone that can get a hold of 30 bucks is suddenly going to be a mature member of the gaming community.

That just won’t happen.

Shout boxes are a breeding ground for idiocy in -any- game. Any player that has any sort of experience with the internet will know to find and associate with people that they like.

And that is what matters in a gaming community. The amount of people that are likable, not how loud the morons are.

Putting a paywall will not replace an active, responsive GM team, or some other form of community moderator anyway. If no one is around to enforce the rules, they will be broken.

But didn’t you make a thread 2-3 days ago, complaining about the BR community and wanting them to be ‘forced’ to their own server? Silly Foxxy. [Pats]

Either way, I’m not for the game only being B2P. If they run a separate one where you have to pay to use it, then cool. And yeah, quantity doesn’t always equal quality. But players that don’t spend anything on the cash shop still contribute to keeping it alive through activity. If I had to choose between playing on a (single) server with 100,000 players and the usual issues that come with an F2P MMO, or one with 10,000 and less of those issues (Because you can’t get rid of them completely, B2P/P2P or not), I’d have a hard time choosing between the two.

sorry but this game is no way worth 60.00+ dollars like other b2p games out there. This is not guild wars 2 so don’t try to change it that route. These type of posts really annoy me bc games should not be costing you an arm and leg to play them. This day and age mmos are going the f2p route as it’s better for everyone in the long run. If you want monthly payments or b2p games then stick to WoW or GW2. Even ESO and WildStar went f2p bc they knew it was the way to go about it. oh and not to mention even GW2 went f2p not long ago as well with limitations ofcourse but still f2p now. Please keep your type of posts away from changing this game into a WoW game. This grindfest is no where near worth paying a lot of money for.

This game is good but now ay worth 60+ dollars like other b2p games. If you want that type of game then go play those games.

@ridleyco Just because it’s on steam doesn’t mean it has to be a b2p game. They’re plenty of steam games which are free to play as well. This game was meant to be f2p not b2p and frankly most mmos are going the f2p route whether you like it or not. Why? bc it brings them more money going the cash shop way then putting a subscription or price tag on the game. More players will be entice to purchase in the cash shop if they are able to get a good feel of the game. This game is good but no way good enough to be worth the price of a console game. If you want to purchase a video game that is what ps4, xbox360, and wii u are for.

MMOs are slowly stopping the whole pay before you play type deal. Lastly, you do relaize that the megaphones will probably not be free when playing the game? I am sure they will give some megaphones for free but all that type of stuff will be a cash item. If you can’t deal with that then this game is not for you. This is a grind fest game and no way in hell would people pay so much money for a grind fest game.

The said negative things that can cause a community toxic can never be avoided in any/most games unless they hire/pay someone to issue immediate ban on anyone who tries to do such things, but they will need a large amount of people to monitor this.

If a game has a strong ban hammer against this kind of things even if its F2P, people will have seconds thoughts in doing nasty things.
