Will it work with windows 8? or will it have the same glitch as RO?

I bet it will work fine with win 8. I think the problem is whether it will work with win 10

I wouldn’t worry to ask if this game would have a problem that RO has since it’s being developed by an entirely different company using different codebases (IMC is not Gravity, TOS is not RO).

There shouldn’t be problems though considering that the last test was a couple of months ago and most likely many people tested the game on Windows 8, and since Windows 10 is about to launch in a couple of weeks more, I doubt that they would launch the game without support for it…

Speaking of Windows 10, does anyone have any opinions about it? I have an icon on both my WIn8 laptop and Win7 Computer pretty much demanding that I “Get Windows 10”, so I’ve been wondering if the upgrade is worth it?

Of that what I hAve read is Win 10 just an upgrade of Win 8, so it will.

I would just get it. If you don’t like it I am pretty sure you can just go back to 8. Honestly though I would just get the free upgrade.

Just like Win 7-8, not much is changing where it matters (the back-end)…

You WILL get stupid idiots who think the UI is the operating system and cry till the cows come how about it and try and get it changed BACK, so there’s that…

And as for the game working on Windows 8…I’m pretty sure they’ve been working the client via Win 8 and 8.1 for the past few months or so, something RO couldn’t have done effectively since they started development on that when Vista was dying and Windows 7 was about to be released.

Windows 10 would be their problem this time around.

Upgrading to windows 10 is a must, since DirectX 12 will only be using that, it’s gonna be awesome

I am sure it will work, this game is not even out, while ro already over 10 years old and just trying to support win98 till today… so thats a big difference.

It’s not just that either. Tons of people have reserve a copy of Windows 10 for free upgrade, and are planning to migrate from both Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

I’m still sticking with my Windows 8.1, not sure whether I will upgrade to Windows 10 or not. Is there any notable improvement?

The difference is Windows 8 was based off of Microsoft vision & design, whereas Windows 8.1 trying to settle the users’ complaints with minor changes and fixed.

IMO, Windows 10 is a rebranding of Windows 8.X with more changes that focus heavily on testings & feedbacks from the community. So if you’re on Windows 8 or 8.1, it’s definitely worth the upgrade since you will still feel at home with Windows 10. Windows 7 users will have some adjustment to get used to.

EDIT: Apparently people said Windows 10 is more like Windows 7, but with Windows 10 features.

So you guys think w10 is a worth upgrade from 7 this time? …one windows ■■■■, one good, one ■■■■, one good… lolz

The upgrade from 7 to 10 is questionable, but I know a lot of my IT friends are reserving a copy of windows 10, including myself. I plan to install it on release, but whether it is truly worth it, only time can tell. If it’s bad, I just hope I can revert back but I really don’t plan to.

Microsoft has a lot riding on the new OS. They plan on having the OS run on all platform such as PC, mobile, and gaming console devices. Basically going of an mobile OS thus making it the last OS for them if successful. It also supports Objective-C to make porting iOS apps to window easier too. The big thing, is having powerful PC software and games being able to install on mobile device with Windows 10. Its a very big move for them.

I have seen post from korean forum that they run windows 7 and 8 and it works just fine. I recently got a update from windows that tells me to upgrade to windows 10. Any Idea should I upgrade or stay at 7?

  1. Windows 7 is fine.

  2. Windows 8 is fine, contrary to the idiots who hate things that change in the UI (which was all that really changed).

  3. Windows 8.1 is fine, contrary to the idiots who hate things that change in the UI (which was all that really changed).

  4. Windows 10 will be fine, contrary to the idiots who hate things that change in the UI, and the fact that new OS’s always have something major to fix within the first 3 yeas of release, which they bitch about anyway…

People are idiots, and people hate change. It hurts that desktops require brains to keep working properly, and it hurts even more that they have to change on a regular basis to continue to exist. Combine the too and you have the perfect excuse for people to grab their pitchforks…-_-

says the kyubee , (jk you are right.)

as mentioned before, I am sure 10 will be supported in the release, if its already supported in cbt, dont know, but why should it not, the versions are not that away like xp to 7

All they gotta do is sign muh contracts, yo. Wish to never have OS’s problems again, and become a Magical Girl damnit!

I really hope this game will work on win7-10!

As far as I know ToS has already been played with Windows 8, so no worries here.
