I am really a big fan of ‘’ Tales of ‘’ games , i played almost all of them , Tales of the abyss on PS2 , Tales of vespiria , Xillia 1 and 2 on ps3, but i find that Tree of savior really shares many things in common with Tales of symphonia ( ps2 ) which i find that is really cool 
so here is some similarities between the two games :
1- the presence of the world tree in both games .
2- Tree of savior is about baltic mythologie and tales of symphonia is about norse mythologie which are practicly similar .
3 - in both games divine beings have angel wings like : Kratos , mythos , Yuan …etc in tales of symphonia , and laima , saule , gabija …etc in Tree of savior .
4 - the name : tree of savior = TOS = tales of symphonia .
