Tree of hardcore grindfest

Eh the exp rate is kind of whatever to me. Yeah it does take a long time to reach end
game but it’s not really a major problem. This is the beta we’re talking about. If anything
I’m sure they exp rate is going to change. But it doesn’t really matter to me. In Flyff
I would grind for 8 hours to get 20 percent lol.

It’s cool lol. I probably did become too much of an extremist with the low EXP stance without even considering what you guys in the 50s have gone through, so sorry about that. I really just wanted the game to be more challenging than the other ones that came out a few months ago (Echo of Soul blech), or RO Renewal, where they completely took away the grinding factor. But yea, this is a 500 level capped game, so the devs should definitely find the right balance with EXP rates I guess. :stuck_out_tongue:

And yea, I’ve been hearing a lot about Clerics. They say that Clerics are the toughest ones to build too. I could probably try it in the future, maybe in kCBT, if I have time. As of now I’m still having fun with my Wizzie. I’m nearly about to hit the “brick wall” though, which a lot of people have been talking about (level 30-ish?). Oh well… CBT’s ending anyway. :frowning:

now I’m playing in the test the EXP rate is fine
the experience was fine what needs to be fixed the weapons

As long as I can farm the whole map, I’m happy with it.

no offense but can we just lock this thread or remove it? debating on this matter won’t get us anywhere when IMC Games already noticed the problem since BEFORE the iCBT started

EDIT: if u guys already stopped my bad~ ignore this if you already stopped debating and instead disscusing ways on how to improve(in detail)~

This sort of forum topic is popping up a lot so it’s safe to assume the TOS team know about this particular complaint. Need to keep in mind this was a closed beta test after all so a lot of changes will occur by the time we get in there again

Regardless of how I state something, if it is not realistically a fact, then it is obviously an opinion. The argument that me “stating it as a fact” is flawed, and honestly, retarded. Again, just so you get it, if I am stating something THAT IS NOT A FACT, then it is obviously my opinion. If you cannot comprehend that, that is on you.
That aside, personally, I actually DON’T know what could replace grinding, I don’t have any suggestions on it. However, that does not revoke my right to state how I feel about something, and I still feel as if grindy is a lazy and boring game mechanic.
I’m not sure if what you said at first was an insult or was you genuinely thinking it was funny. I’ll take it as being funny, and just say I do not know how these forums work tbh, so if I honestly did something, uh, wrong(?), then I apologize?

Well obviously I can tell that it is your opinion since I stated that the way you conveyed your opinion made it seem as if you were the type of idiot(yes these people exist) who genuinely believes that their opinion is indeed fact, and that ‘their’ way of enjoying something is better than someone else. So with that said, its kinda silly that you werent able to comprehend that from my post and completely miss the point, and instead go off on a tangent about the most obvious, and kindergarden level of common sense.

Anyways, this has gotten pretty pointless at this point, so enjoy yourself.

The game is fine, and the experience tables are fine. The grinding is reasonable and the questing is good (outside of the lack of good lore, it is good).

On the other hand, people crying and complaining for their lack of hands and knowledge is terrible.

The exp rate we got from the iCBT1 is not final and was deliberate to test certain parts of the game longer. The rate we had in iCBT1 is NOT acceptable for the final release as it was implied that the max cap for level would be about 500 (or more?). Also, grinding is not inherently bad, but it needs to be less monotonous. Repeatable quests can be considered grinding too so there is an option for it be not 100% just killing monsters in one area for 12 hours a day (and turning off your brain).

you didnt even play the game so stop trolling

Solo-ing 2/3 of the time. Repeat what you said again.

I’m not sure I understand. You accuse me of going on a tangent, yet your message explaining why I’m a kindergartner is longer than mine? I’m aware that those people exist, but hiding behind the “you typed your opinion like fact” is pretty overused and lame, don’t you agree? Also, I’m not sure how I even missed the point? I confronted your first message and then also spoke about how I felt about grinding. What point was there to miss?

Having now played the game, I am safely ok to say, that you guys are mad. Grinding in ToS fine and fairly fast.

This happens with every amazing asian MMO.

It’s “too hard” or “takes too long”. Westerners are used to casual instant gratification, eventually they cave in and it becomes easier.

It’s good to have a variety of games on the market. This way there is something for everyone. Just because a game is too hard/long for you, doesn’t mean they should cater to you. Just means its not your cup of tea, move on.

I’m looking for challenging games these days, but most of them are super casual (which is fine, nothing wrong with that!). I look forward to this one, since I loved RO so much.

People must realize that got rank 3 and some got rank 4, and the max rank is 6 atm

in 5 days, only 5 days and without any knowledge about grind spots and quests

Again reading comprehension…I didnt call you a kindergartener, I said that you are pointing out something that is common sense, and kindergarten level of common sense, meaning its stuff everyone shouldve learned in kindergarden.

This is exactly why I said its pointless, from what I am seeing you dont fully read what people are saying so enjoy your day man. No point in continuing since we will end up going in circles at this point.

The only reason that grinding is boring is because it’s normally just auto attacking super ez enemies with no risk. When enemies actually can mess you up and lose exp then it becomes remotely interesting. If you make it easy and fast then you may as well not have grinding even in the game, because that is just auto attacking trashmobs.

So what could make a huge grind interesting would be things like flash mob events.

@berard_chris why did you find it necessary to necro a thread that has been dead for a week?

I know a lot of players don’t agree with me but i kinda like this grouping up and grinding mobs for EXP, you make casual talk, get to know players and with luck even make ingame buddies!
In the last 5 years of so, i ran a couple of games that just feed me quest after quest and that reaches a breaking point fast… I’m not saying we shouldn’t have quests, it’s awesome to have a story to follow, i just don’t find it appealing to have that many uninteresting quests we get regularly nowadays.
