Tradeable/Account tradeable/Untradeable

Erhm… You didn’t realy looked it up, right? This is actually the true Ragnarok online 2.

You know…it’s like Diablo 2 -> Diablo 3 but the true Diablo squel is mostly Torchlight 2 and etc. Many games are like this out there.

Just look after it.

It’s like saying that you think that the next Metal Gear will be the true sequel to the series, yet Kojima wouldn’t be there. The next Metal Gear can be named as Paper Screw if Kojima is behind it.

ehm, what’s to look up? you’re spouting off a bunch of made-up head-canon.

there have been -two- “true” ragnarok 2’s, and this is neither of them. the first (RO2: The Gate of the World) was a complete flop. the other (RO2: Legend of the Second) was/is a mediocre entry in the light-challenge MMORPG category.

Torchlight is certainly in the same genre as D2… but the style is entirely different. (like comparing WoW and ToS.) having played all of the games involved (Diablo 1,2,3 and Torchlight 1,2) i would never consider Torchlight to be a sequel to Diablo.

it would be like suggesting that Doom, Hexen, Quake, and Castle Wolfenstein are all sequels to each other, because not only are they made by the same company, but they’re all FPS games too – it’s simply ridiculous. the games aren’t related to each other in any way other than having some of the same people work on them.

you might prefer one thing over another, but that doesn’t give you license to rewrite history to fit your random fantasies.

…yÜhm…you don’t really get it right? Torchlight 2 was made by the original creators of Diablo 2. That’s a fact… That’s why I said that you are claiming it that this is not the “original successor of Ro”. That means nothing that it’s developed by “other companies”. It’s all about the developers, not about the company.

Well…if you would never consider Torchlight 2 as a true sequel to Dio 2 , I have bad news…that’s the original Diablo, the Diablo 3 is something else. Torchlight 2 has more original Diablo developer than Blizzard by now. You are welcome!

so what? that doesn’t make it a sequel, either in fact, or in essence.

Doom Hexen, Quake, Castle Wolfenstein… they all share a lot of the same developers.
so you’re saying you consider -them- to be sequels?

if you do, it’s time to start taking your medicines again.

I learned the hard way that you can’t transfer TP costumes to other characters. It saddens me that the costume was bought in vain since I’m no longer prioritizing my first char.

Expensive but untradeable. Suxx…

i know soulbound and accountbound doesnt exist, so currently ive only seen tradable and untradable. to make things simpler, i wish they’d add “team tradable” for these premium items, especially the cosmetics.

that or make cosmetics similar to changing hair colors! give us toggles!

i’d honestly buy more cosmetics if all our characters could use it (class restriction is fine). for now… just 1 hairstyle since thats all you can do. sucks if you wanna reroll a character, those items are stuck!

My example, I made an alt around a week ago. It’s an archer. Found Christina’s Costume super cute and the Spring dresses. Also, wanted to give it that short hairstyle that I don’t recall the name. The problem? They are character bound. If I mess my class up or end up not liking it, I will lose all those premium items that I paid good money for. We are not talking peanuts money here. Clothing and hair styles are around ~$18 each! So, I took a wise decision. Decided to postpone those purchases to when I will be sure I’ll be sticking with that alt. This, though, could take months or could not happen ever. if I decide that I don’t like the playstyle or the build is bad or even a nerf hammer, no money for you, IMC. Now, it’s really irrelevant because I already purchased the Founder’s Pack (three of them). But this will for sure be what will make me not to purchase things in the foreeseable future when F2P hits.

And let’s not forget about the many of us that used the Founder’s Pack on a character that is now obsolete for several reasons. People went and placed faith on the game to support IMC, they answered with character bound things that screw you over if you purchased anything. And now, a complete and absolute silence by them regarding those issues.

For me, it’s not a single drop different from Nexon’s behavior.

Hahahahahahaaaa.

This is a great suggestion near 100% of people probably agree with, but please lay off the armchair estimates of how much work something is when you have no idea what their codebase looks like.

This needs to be done.

guys if you want the staff to even see your post you need to use the @“name” command for them

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease IMC. D:

Then do it. xD

I agree. I bought 2 packs and am a little unhappy that they are not account bond. IMC needs to think about their players a little more

i terribly regret buying costumes cause of that. really, either make them very cheap so i dont feel bad for buying them for multiple characters or let us transfer through team storage. what a ripoff!

This really need to be done please IMC!!!

Yes, Surely I am just one of the many that tried a class and switched after a few days. I feel that having those bound stat/skill resets on my first character is a waste. I did research my class, but ended up not truly liking it as much as my second. Account bound system for costumes and other TP items is a good idea.

Untradeable premium stuff should be tradeable via team storage. I opened the premium packets on my QS but I messed up some core skills on my Linker and want to use the skill reset potion on it, but I can’t trade it and its damn ridiculous. :B

All cash shop items should be fully tradeable and lose all potential when equipped. There should be a tp<>gold exchanger.

IMC is dumb and doesn’t want money. Whales spend thousands, your average f2p player spends $10-30. Monetize them in this way like every other mmo does.

Recently the changes to Team Storage that removed the loss of Potential was a really positive step for this game ToS. Then allowing us to grind for +6 Team Storage for free was another fantastic change.

What concerns me is that Cash Shop items like Stat Resets are not tradeable. Nor are the expensive Costumes. It seems insane that when I redeem a purchased pack I have to assign the items to a character and I cannot trade them. If I buy an expensive Cleric costume it is locked to that character. In a game where re-rolling new builds should be encouraged due to the diversity of builds locking these items seems silly and self-defeating. Many of us would like to use the Stat reset on a different character than the one it was redeemed to. Locking Costumes onto a character means it is much less likely I will ever make such a purchase at all.

Cash Shop items need to become account/team bound and not locked to a character. I’m not sure why the current model was implemented and maybe such a thing works in Korea. From my Western gaming perspective I find these restrictions inhibit my desire to make any purchases from the TP shop. If the Costumes were shareable between characters that were able to equip them I’m sure I would actually purchase all of them eventually resulting in my spending more money on this game.
