I’ve posted this in the past in several threads, but now I want to post this in a separated thread. Everybody give feedback, please! Do you see any way in which the suggested system could be exploited by RMTs?
The current issue with the trade system is that you can not get the satisfying feeling of playing together. You can not archieve the feeling of playing with your friends, getting a rare equip drop and sharing it with someone on the spot just because you’re friends and the guy needs it. You can not have a friend dedicate his time to help you get a rare drop when you already grinded that spot for two days and didn’t get the drop. Example: I once farmed 22k smokies in RO to get the card. 22.000! The only thing that kept me from insanity is that I had someone help me after the 10k mark, and we had fun in TS and enjoyed our time. You won’t get to this expierience with the current system.
The current system tries to stop RMTs but fails to do so. They do use premium benefits, so don’t tell me it could stop them. I can see where IMC is gooing with the restrictions, but any interaction between party members is cancelled out (for non-premiums) or heavily hindered. (Because why would you waste one of your precious trades just to pass on a regular weapon which would be an upgrade for a friend, but is only worth like 20k silver?)
So, why not give us the option to freely (or even only once) trade loot for a certain period of time after finding it? Everybody would benefit from a system like Diablo 3 has it, where you can share loot with party members for a few hours, if they were online when it dropped. And I do not see how RMTs could exploit system like this.
TL;DR: Give us the option to share loot for a set amunt of time after it dropped in a party. This would make ppl feel better about the trade and loot systems, and I can’t see any possible uses for RMTs.
Also, summoning @Staff_Julie, @STAFF_Ethan again: I think you’ve already seen this suggestion, but I hope the community feedback in this post makes you think about it again.
