Trade Restrictions – Positive, player friendly, thoughts

Re: Statement on Trade Restrictions - https://treeofsavior.com/news/?n=356

I enjoy playing self-found. The majority of trade restrictions that are in place don’t bother me.

My one concern was being unable to trade within my own Team via Team Storage. Looks like this is being addressed. I like to farm up my own stuff, craft my own stuff and to trade it freely between my own characters. Please let this happen as this all account bound trading.

Having read much of the feedback on trading recently another itch would be player-to-player trading. I would like to see a Diablo 3 like system where dropped items can be traded with your party members for a set period of time. This encourages grouping and socialisation which are important pillars in any MMO/ARPG. Currently there really isn’t any reason to party up with anyone as you can progress solo by going to the level appropriate areas and using cards. We should be encouraged to group and allowing limited in-party trading will alleviate much of the angst out there.

Otherwise I support the current stance with regards to the Auction House and 1-to-1 trading. I realise that my views may not be popular but I wanted to make sure imcgames were privy to a different view than the flood of tears here and over at the subreddit. Last, if any Staff are reading this, please do whatever you can to make sure this title never becomes Pay-To-Win (P2W) because I’ll be punching out of your beautiful title as soon as that happens.

I’d like to add something:
Since the Token is kinda expensive, comparing to popular p2p titles, what about a one-time VIP purchase that requires a.) a certain amount of TP bought or b.) a VIP-package bought for like 10-20$ to enable team storage or other basic stuff?

Simply remove the potential loss when sharing via team storage and I’d be “happy” enough

They have already talked about making team storage a free feature.

Hopefully that’s part of their upcoming patch. I honestly wouldn’t mind though if they didn’t change that aspect, because being able to port items to and fro your characters indefinitely has its own negative effects.

You have to much faith.

I’d rather be positive than negative. It helps me enjoy the game more.

I was positive in Icbt1/2 then during the following korean beta and released they carved trade functions out of the game, then restricted them, then made it so you have to pay for them. Then they limited dungeons, etc etc bad change bad change. People can only handle so much abuse.

Unlimited dungeon turns game into grind fest = unhealthy play mentality. I can understand why they did this.

They already stated their reasoning for trade restrictions. If you want the game to survive as much as I do then you will read those reasons and think about them instead of saying "oh but I don’t like them, therefore they must be removed.

Yea they gave some bullshit reasons for what they expected it to do. But thats not how its functioning in game.

As long as there isn’t inflation, then it is functioning in game.

Anyone can go out and spam SELL SILVER GOLDRUS.NET @@@@@@. That does not necessarily mean that RMT is occuring in game.

Many of those spammers are likely scammers trying to swipe a few dollars. Most of the bots are likely to be trying to reach level 40 in order to use the megaphone.

The other bots that are lv120 and stuff are a different can of worms and belong to a different discussion, one related to hacking or exploiting the game.

In the original post? Must’ve read it wrong then.

Im not sure i recently clicked on a link another player put up in one of these trade/rmt forums but there are so many im not sure which one x.x
