Okay round 3, last time we left off with some outrageously bad Mage classes and I’ve got one more to complain about after the most recent patch. Necromancer, Necromancers were good when I made my last thread, but people used them to get money while afk, and apparently that’s not okay unless your fishing, or your class is a yellow class, or you ask really really nicely. Now I’ve been on both sides of this, I actually haven’t used the afk method (I assumed you needed a bot or the summons would stop after a short while) but I have quested two times in Dinas Bee Farm and I’ve also afked beside the Bee Farmers and picked up drops they didn’t so I’m not biased in any way here, but I think it’s not that big of a deal, there are multiple channels and if IMC adapts and just adds more channels to popular farming spots everyone should be able to do the quests without being hurt too bad by it. I’ve done the quests twice and the entire Dinas Bee farm quests was still way easier and way short than the Shinobi quest. Now regardless of whether I think Afk farming is okay or not, I do think Necromancers got big nerfs, For Sorcerers it’s not too bad, 1500 seconds is like 25 minutes so having to respawn the familiar is not an issue, for the Salamion it was actually a buff, I have level 10 Salamion and it didn’t last 5 minutes before, now it does, apparently. Great buffs there, basically every class in this patch was buffed, except Necromancers, I already have a hard time as a C2 Necromancer trying to keep my Corpse count up, Shoggoth costs like 30, and now that I gotta continuously summon Skeletal Solders and the Beamos, it’s just too much, I understand at C3 there are some REALLY expensive attributes that allow it to be more manageable, but at C2 the class is near unplayable. Skeletons die too fast and 7 Corpes is too much to pay to respawn them when Disinter and Gather Corpse give so little back. Personally I’d buff up their tankiness and make it 2+1 Corpse per skeleton that actually needs to be resummoned meaning if you have 5 Skeletons and you use it, you expend 2 corpses to full heal your current Skeletons.

I just feel like Necromancer being the one class to get nerfed this patch is so sad. Even if you have to take measures against afkers there are ways to do it without screwing over the class as a whole. The only buff Necromancers got was to the color of their class symbol.

Next up lets talk about some positive stuff.I recently looked at how each stat scales and realizes that STR and INT are pretty worthless, I actually really like this, the first MMO I ever played we invested 176 STR (0 for Archers and Mages) because that’s all you needed to equip a weapon and the +1 damage wasn’t worth it compared to the damage you get from any other source, then we’d go 60ish in Agility if we wanted to land our melee attacks on players (256 for Archers to equip bow) and after that the rest went into Vitality, naturally Mages would often find themselves going like 40-100 SPR but basically no matter your class Vitality was the main stat, the others all gave negligible differences, Agility only needs so much to be effective and weapon equipping required it but basically it was a good way to get a high hp pool. I enjoy this and I’m glad Tree of Savior stuck with it, my Shinobi-Dragoon has 120 STR, and 100 Dex, and then I dump the rest in CON. Good stat system.

When I was leveling from 40-75 I was in Nevellet Quarry, it’s a pretty great map with lots of monsters and good exp gain, I like that, but it’s sad that it stops there, there isn’t another map with that quantity of monsters and good exp except for the hunting grounds which all have monsters far more tanky.It’s just sad that in order to level you have to do dungeons which limit your entries per day or quests which are just boring.

Today I did crystals mines as I do every day, endlessly grinding for Yeti/Gazing Golem cards (Speaking of which for all my attempts 0 cards have dropped, this rate is pretty shitty) when as the last boss I encounter Nuodai. THIS MONSTER IS BULLSHIT!So to start it has a long ranged freeze that lasts 15 seconds and can be refreshed before it even ends, meaning if you’re unlucky enough you can be permanently frozen by this monster. Now yes you can pot during it so it’s annoying but you probably won’t die to it, but then it has another skill that drains all your mana and adds a debuff that prevents HP and SP regen effects. You can be frozen for over a minute taking damage unable to heal, and even if you get a few seconds to DPS the fucker before getting frozen again you have no mana so it has to be basic attacks. Idk what the people who made this monster intended but this monster cannot be soloed by someone who should be fighting it.(Maybe an Oracle can do it) but I mean they’re about to get ■■■■ on with nerfs anyways so no sense talking about them. IMC quite clearly hates this class. TBH I hate C2 of it in it’s current version myself. Anyways this boss should be seriously toned down, knock down bosses seem pretty tough but I’d rather fight all the monsters from Masters Event at once 1v4 than have to fight Nuodai ever again 1v1. The freeze duration is just too long and mana drain is so dumb. Check the basement of the guy who came up with Nuodai, I’ve no doubt he’s got some people tied up down their for his sadistic ass to torture when he’s not coming up with this garbage. Seriously though, no card drops in over 10+ runs of crystal mines most of which are Double Pay Earned? Rates are horrible.

I’ve always been grinding for a pair of +2 MS level 220 boots (Superior Greytis Greaves), apparently the 270 version isn’t in the game but after seeing it’s insane recipe maybe that’s for the best because it takes 4 recipes to make them and I had a hard time getting just 1. 0.43% drop rate from a monster that there is less than 10 of on the map, wouldn’t be so bad if it was in a map like say Stele Road, but instead it’s one of the worst maps in the game. Barha Forest, I mean there is only one way to get to the top of the map and it requires jumping on some of the worst terrain in ToS. Even Tateyene Prison pits aren’t this bad. I finally gave up on the recipe and bought it for 800k, I have no doubt that’s overpriced but ■■■■ that map so much Idc. That said turns out I need the regular version so I gotta hunt another map lacking in monsters for another recipe on a .6ish drop, these boots are too hard to get, but at least it’s not Barha Forest, my candidate for #1 map that needs a rework (That shits worse than Gate Route and it’s stupid thorns)

Anyways that’s most of my feedback for now but I’d like to go over a few skills with problems that I feel need to be fixed, I’m unsure if these are bugs or just really really really really stupid features, or both but here are some skills to look at.

So as we already mention Skeletons, cost too much for such a short duration, Corpses are hard to come by pre-rank 3
You also have Restoration, a Paladin skill, it’s a great skill, except sometimes when I cast it, it doesn’t do anything, it just goes on CD, Idk if it’s because I tried to refresh it and it’s not allowed to be refreshed, and attempting to refresh it ruins the skill permanently until you change maps or maybe it’s something else, but this skill is bugged, I found another who had a simular issue, they’d cast it and the party got the buff but they didn’t, I have faith that nobody at IMC (except the guy who made Nuodai) is dumb enough to make this a feature so I’m guessing it’s a bug, hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Anyways skill #3, Ice Pike, this skills aiming is weird, I don’t know what IMC has against skill shots, but it’d be so much simpler to just program this skill as a skill shot, at the moment it tries to assist the caster in aiming and fails miserably, I miss this skill way too much for how many points I’ve invested it it, it’d nice to get some change.
Next skill, Sonic Strike, Falconers C2 skill, I only used it twice before deleting my Hawk, however both times I tried to use it on a monster in Stele Road and it did nothing, Idk if it misses smaller monsters or if there is a bug, but it’s really shitty either way, I mean I won’t be playing Falconer for a while anyways as it just takes too many slots but I’m sure other Falconers would appreciate this skill getting fixed.
Anyways last one for now even though I feel like I forgot a skill, the mouse mode Basic Attack. I play on mouse mode since even as Swordsman I have skills like Iron Hook which have that shitty keyboard aiming system, still don’t know what IMC has against skill shots but whatever, I manage. Still I have two auto attacks one is the “`” key beside the number 1. and the other is left click, when left clicking I feel like I attack faster, probably due to ping, since I don’t have to input multiple commands, this is cool and all but if a monster moves away, I don’t follow it LoL style, I just keep attacking, that’s really annoying, but moving to follow the target after is also really annoying, for some reason this game insists on completing every animation so if you’re auto attacking you have to input a movement command before the next auto attack queues up. Needless to say avoid this ■■■■ in PvP and just use a keyboard button to auto attack, it’d be nice to not have to though, just let me cancel my own attacks if I want to, I mean the game lets me cancel my Iron Hook, let me cancel basic attacks.
