TP Shop cosmetic items price

As we all know, TP prices are out and Token price reduction is to come. Token will be priced as 9 dolars, and thats is a fair price for a MMO monthly fee.

That said, we have to talk about cosmetic stuff sold at TP Shop.

Costume: 129 TP = U$11,61
Male Premmy Hair: 119 = U$10,71
Female Premmy Hair: 179 = U$16,11
(you can consider a discount of U$0,45 if you wait for the 5 free tp before you buy)

16 dolars for a female wig is way too much money, I mean… Tomorrow onwards we will be able to change it from char to char, but it’s a pain to go back to the city with both caracters just to move an item from them, and that applies only to wigs, since costumes are class locked.

There are lots of costumes and hairs already released at kTOS, but with that price I will be picking only a couple of the best, not buying every one I want.

Gacha is a dead system. Let’s talk about things that are giving games companyes fair more money.
You play League of Legends? It’s the game company that made more money last year, and they only sell you new styles to your characters. They make you want every single new “costume” released, and sometimes you buy 2… 3 new visuals for the same champion. It’s not really expensive, and they have levels of prices for each “pocket”. There is a new gacha system, but it’s totaly free, you only buy gacha box with money if you want.

Saying League made more money than others is like saying popular companies aren’t thriving. However, mind you, there’s actually no way of testing out said costume until you buy it, aside from the commonly misleading but awesome splash arts. The only way you’d know is by the community testing it on the PBE and releasing videos of a skin before it’s actually released, which is somewhat sketchy in itself but checks out.

But I would like to see ‘sales’ every so often on cosmetics. It might tempt people to buy their outfits and such.

Gacha is a dead system ?
lol ?

Eh? Are you talking about ToS now? Because you can preview costumes/haircuts in shop.

I think they should lower the price or make it tradable like most games do, so you can buy it with silver, iirc cosmetics have 1/1 potential, so even if they make it tradable they would be tradable only once, so who bought it can’t sell it again after, or simple make it untradable after you pucharse it from someone.

Nah, he referenced League of Legends.

I didn’t say that, but League of legends is a total free game, even the stuff they sell you doesn’t chage your “game experience”. Different from Token on tos.

I know it’s a diferent kind of game, we can’t compare MOBA and MMO, but I’m talking about the same selling strategy: visual changes for your character just to show off to other people. It’s more effective to make everybody want all of them for a fair price, instead of making them buy only 1 or two because of the high price. At the end you will spend more money that you would first spend with it.

Something like:

Trainer Class costumes: 50TP (always available)
NPC costumes: 80TP (always available and no class restriction)
Sasonal costumes: 60TP (available only at christmas, summer, etc)
Other expensive costume: 120TP
Rental costumes: 10-20 TP (1 week duration)

and so on.

NPC costumes are available in game for silver and they are rental.

Never bought a single skin (other then loli poppy, using my free RP). The skins are often not that good looking.
Are you sure you arent just addicted to buying them? :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair, plenty of people buy them just for the splash arts.

It’s pretty similar to ToS, actually. Without spending RP you will have to grind more, and work harder to achieve the same.
It takes forever to get a good amount of IP in LoL.
