ToS vs RO, What IMC can learn from this?

Yeah is so nostalgic…

Yeah but is not rewarded at all, you don’t gain exp bonus for being in party for example but with the current mechanics that doesn’t care.

Hahahaha we are getting old, and is not about how hard it could be is about how much fun are you having while you are doing those hard things. And the socialization aspect i think RO had a huge female player base compared to others MMORPG because of their social mechanics.

[/quote]I hope they will tweak that. I almost forgot you got bonus exp just by partying.

Meaningful loot and map variation are the best things ToS can take from RO.

Aside from that, i don’t think they need to change stuff.
Also, WoW is sooooo overrated, eww.

Well, as i said i don’t want a RO and no one of us want it. The people is expressing their thoughts about the past because they did good things and bad ones, and they are looking to have fun with this game too as they had in the past…

It made me a bit sad because I realised that ToS is rly too linear yet. I really almost forgot how many options did you have in Ragnarok. Like a lot of classes or party types had totally different best leveling spots or that we could help new little chars in different places too with leveling. Now I don’t mind that I didn’t write my overall feedback yet because I want to add a lot of new things to that.
Thy for the read.

Yes, low areas will remain empty and almost no one will interact with the newbies (no matter if they are an alter) and wich is sad because that happen on all MMORPG’s nowadays. And yes this game is very linear (you dont have to think too much), atleast what i saw on CBT.

That was such a great read. One thing I’m hoping ToS changes is how monster drop items. Like the example in the article you would have people kill pupa for slotted guard or pupa card which is a mid to high tier item. Things like this will make the game not linear as you will have people going back to old maps to hunt monsters. This concept in RO is what I loved so much about it!

This analysis was interesting but it is a bit too “naive” :frowning:

Ohh… so much yes. Tears flowing upon reading this. Good job for the writer. What a great way to compare Ragnarok Online with Tree of Savior… and WoW. Every explanations where given a complete facts and in depth basis which blown the readers away with a deep sense of nostalgia, which has been applied to me also. I am deeply moved with the writings. Analytically, kudos to the writer that seem to successfully cover each nook and cranny she could find in Ragnarok Online, and compare those to other games. Although there were subjective parts, I feel that if I am to write that short analysis, I would’ve done the same. In the end of the day, it’s about how you could make readers feel what you feel, and she’s done that right. KUDOS.

Thanks OP for sharing this as well. You’re my man :’)

I agree that there should be incentive to visit the lower level areas for farming drops or other things.
