Hi everyone, after answering a few questions throughout the forum, I want to start this thread to discuss a few trends and things about ToS I have experienced in kToS to help player understand the game before they start next week.
Just a disclaimer, I am not telling you how to play your game. I only want to mention these things to give people a better expectation.

Your team (family name) name is important. Your team name is your actual name. I didn’t have a lot of conversations in kToS but whenever I do, I refer people by their team name instead of their first name.

Having mention about team name, all your characters basically function as one character. When you join a party, you stay in the party for ALL eternity until you leave the party. Silly thing about this is if you are in a bad party and you log on another character to play, you will still be in that party.

1 character for “main” is fine but technically all your characters in your team/family is your main. Really no point to stick with 1 character but you can if you want to. Diversity via a team is very welcomed for Earth Tower. At least in kToS, they seek people with different jobs to fill the spot.

For dungeons, anyone can tank. You don’t need a dedicated tank. There is no holy trinity in some cases. But holy trinity still works the best. The same thing for field boss. At least I haven’t seen any dedicated tank for them. However, not everyone can pull as good as swash buckler users. You also don’t need a dedicated heal, but might be difficult before level 10 potions are on the market. With level 10 potions on the market, it is usually faster and more efficient for everyone to use potions instead of having a dedicated healer.

Buy a pet and level it up as soon as possible, it really helps you to level your other characters. Your pet is part of your family and cherish it. The pet does not de-level, so it can help you level noobie characters up fast, like a free high level tank/dps to leech on.

Dungeon run with exp scroll usually means the entire allowance. Leaving in the middle is kind of rude and frowned upon.
That’s about all that I can think of right now. Everyone feel free to contribute if I missed something.
