Tos Neet Polls! Keep Tos Neet Alive!(Vote here)

Hi there, as you can tell the tos neet kr/ktest sites are down.
The international tos.neet site is still up, however it is un-updated at the moment and we have no idea when it will go down if it does.

Grita(The owner/creator of tosneet) has stated that he/she is not interested in tos-related content at the moment.

With all the lack of updated database centralised sites that really help the community in this game, it would be good if we can at least keep this site alive/updated as it has all kinds of important things such as skill-simulators/droprates/3d model viewing/map locations and all sorts of really cool information. The .neet sites are really helpful not just to the tos international steam community, but also to the KR/INDO/JP/TH Tos community too.

Please vote on the following polls and tell whoever you know that plays the game to vote on the following polls. This is to show at least in some form the amount of people who use the site and are interested in helping keep the site alive OR use the site and appreciate it alot!

Hopefully if alot of people vote and comment, grita might be inclined/interested to continue the site! (keep in mind it is his/her choice and nobody elses, so dont try to spam or force him/her to do it)

Is there anyone left in the community that is capable of doing database extracts/dumps that is willing to take over, in the worst case scenario?

Honestly, I’m all for doing some form of donation. I think this is very important. We as a community have taken advantage of a very amazingly organized data-base. I feel like even if I had to pay a 1$ a month donation incentive to use it I would. My hope is that even if Grita does not want to continue it, they’d be willing to teach another capable person how to use it and keep it updated.

Probably yes, there’s actually a good amount if you get them to help each other instead of having only one person take over and maintain it alone (which also requires being able afford a decent server, have a good amount of free time, know the backend/data mining part, decent basic frontend etc).

One of the main reasons of why, for example, Excrulon’s Addon Manager is still alive is because it was made open source. After he quit, other players, including those from other regions, have contributed and/or forked their versions with the effort for keeping the project alive and to add new features.

I really wish we got a wiki or database for ToS with focus on being open source or at least something similar.

Hello guys, I’m not very active in the forums but I just wanted to say that I’m interested in supporting/hosting the site if necessary.

I just don’t have much free time, but I’m a full-stack developer as my full-time job (i.e. back and front-end developer). If Gritta interested in forming a team to open-source and support the website ping me :slight_smile:

If I could, I would definitly donate the minimun ammount at least but I have no way to pay for international transactions. Grita, come back! Your database is the best!

If this website was saved one way or another that’d be terrific.

It’s so well made, fast and complete, it’s a shame to see it dying right now.

The last time I reached out to her, I got a cold reply https://github.com/Grita/dressup/issues/1

Kinda got a cold reply 16 days so yeah idk, I was interested before but I got banned so idk gonna wait out and see. I initially wanted to suggest some new features, sub-categories to be added to the site but yeah no replies.

I’m currently involved in a nano-degree program as a Google Scholarship recipient that will result in a certification as a Mobile-Web Specialist. I’m also a current TOS player. That being said, I’m also in a stretch of many months of resumes and applications, etc. and due to the massive competition it is extremely difficult to find a job in web development (remote).

That being said, I’d absolutely be willing to donate time to this endeavor if there was some form of donations as you said. I certainly could use the assistance keeping the electricity and internet running while I finish my certification.

I’m surprised people are willing to pay for a simple feature that some other games offer for free since they benefit the game. I’m also surprised to find out the site isn’t automated with patches.

I enjoy the tool though, hope they decide to keep it going.

Not too many games offer a free wiki ran by the devs/company themselves.

Even Dotards 2 and League of Lesbi*ns are run by 3rd party companies.

FFXIV, WOW, Destiny are three I can name off the top of my head, I recall Ragnarok Online having one too a while back when Gravity cared but I could be wrong, its been so long. League of Legends and Dota makes sense though since they’re not mmorpgs (was mostly just referring to mmo’s).

Which are both free to use and make revenue from ads.
