The stutter is the fps drop. Since the stutter is ‘micro’, they happen for only like millisecs. You probably wont notice your fps change/drop because the fps update interval is like 1secs i think? If you can somehow exhaust your CPU(by running alot of CPU extensive apps) and try the stutter again, you will see your fps drops to almost 0.

After recent optimization patch, I have around 30~40fps while running in Fedimian ch1. So I expect to get 50-60fps after this multi-threading optimization patch.

I agree with you. They should update the client to 64bit as well and DX12.
But I think DX12 wasn’t even out when they were developing the game which would explain why it’s not using it yet.
dx12 is useless, its limited towards windows 10.
But i have high hopes for the future optimisations of the game, the last patch already did a lot of good things performance wise. Can’t wait on this tho.

actually, 64-bit will only helps when there are lots of large numbers to calculate, but the minimum requirement to run a 64-bit application increases drastically, its like you will have more headroom do work with, but the minimum power required to power it up is increased, i agree that hell, every mmo’s, why dont they just use 64-bit client already? Well…?
DX12 i dont think it will be helpful, even dx10 or 11 is enough. Iirc the game runs on dx9 now? Anyway why not opengl?
every game I ever played on opengl did not work very well compared to directx.
coz TOS was a 2010 project i believe, they took 5years to finally release it for cbt

Actually, i dont see quite the reason why this game even need a good gpu to run, every animation in the game is a sprite, similar to RO. Morphing + sprite = TOS’s animation, isnt it? Instead, CPU calculation is needed to calculate how to morph and where to morph in the screen?
The characters and monsters are actually 3D. They just look like sprites.
