I suffered 3 7* gems, i feel you :frowning: literally died when everyone froze and monster didnt spawn which i kind of dc’ed.
This is a different situation but same gem lost

Why are you even carrying high level gems on your character?

Because you can pick them back if you ressurrect… don’t focus on the wrong point, the guy should not have lost the gems, the lag cause him to lost it. Should be safe to carry high level gems if you have soul crystal, right?

We want stability, IMC.

The loss is still on the dude because really, there was no reason to not store the gems away.

This feels like that thread on leddit “hurr I upgraded my manamana to +6 at 0 potential and it broke, ■■■■■■■ incompetent imc, i quit. durr”

That’s the most stupid thing I’ve read today.

So, the game have a bug and its HIS fault for not store his gems? He used a Soul Crystal to resurrect, so the gem should back to his inventory instantly.

i don’t see why the dude don’t store the gems, knowing if you die you lose the gems

No you dont!

There is a % of dropped gems that can’t be picked up again. So this was a really really bad idea to carry around those high level gems.

Come on guys let’s not phase out of the topic.
Basically calling out he should’nt bring gems because he can lose them is literally saying "hey don’t trust your soul crystal because nothing in this game works :)"
His point is clearly stated as a “My soul crystal didnt work” instead of “I lost my gems for being lazy enough not to store them” and please comment having that in consideration.

His soul crystal work, but he complains that some of the gems were not picked up. And i gave a why to that question. So yeah …

This game as a lot of outdated/missing information. I figured out this by noticing i had less gems when doing quests on alts and end up carrying a lot and dying on a siaulai mission. So i did some diary quests for gems, head to a random field and died, seems you lose a random amount everytime and you can even get lucky to not lose any. And by lose i mean able to pick them up when walking back or using Soul Crystal.

You have big red notification on the whole screen, that you can loose you gems. And what if you die and suddenly power goes off at your place? Or lan cable got chewed by your puppy / wi-fi router got smashed by your cat? Who you will blame then?

Bottom line - don’t carry gems with you, how hard is that. You can’t have stupid-proofs in all aspects of the game - try to actually do smth yourself.

There is no proof, that things actually happened the way he says. I’m playing this game since cbt0 and never had the issue that you can’t pick up your gems after dying->being resurrected.

I was replying to the other guy but ok, so even if the crystal worked and he got up he couldnt pick up his gems? Is that “not working as intended” ? If so, I believe is right to post it here as it is right now

As i mentioned. a random amount of the dropped gems can become totally unrecoverable. And doesnt seem to be a bug, but a design to punish dying with dropeable items.

If this is the case I will like to know where do you find this information, because this is the strongest point to argue. Anyway, I didn’t know about it and I’m playing long time, never happend to me. If is not the case, storage the gem or not is not the relevant, because he must have the gems back If he ressurect with Soul Crystal. Opposite case, If is true the % of dropped gems to never get it back, then is needed the storage and Soul Crystal doesn’t have relevance.
