Torn Diary Part 2 (FOUND PROOF OF PROBLEM)

I have finally found the bug to why people who aren’t getting Torn Diary Part 2.

It is found in the quest “Activate Obelisk (1)” in Vieta Gorge, with the quest objective of collecting “White Oak Sap” from the "Wood Sap Container"s at the top right part of the map.

You are supposed to get the item “Torn Diary (Part 2)” together as you harvest the “White Oak Sap” from the "Wood Sap Container"s.

And unfortunately I did not get one. I was looking everywhere for hints until I found the answer on Youtube when I was looking for clues.

As you can see on 2:23 - 2:26 the moment the Cleric interacts with the “Wood Sap Container” not only does she receive “White Oak Sap”, but also “Torn Diary (Part 2)” at the same time.

I, unfortunately am one of those people who did not get “Torn Diary (Part 2)”, and have been puzzled as to why everyone else has gotten it but not for myself and a few others.

I would love to request the GMs to give us what we have been missing out on all this time because of a server side bug.

To those who do not have the item “Torn Diary (Part 2)”, please post in this thread so that the GMs will know that you are missing the item as well.

Same issue -.-

My GF has the item, she did those quests solo and has it. I dont have Torn Diary 2, but all the others. Guess i have to open a ticket now and pray GM actually care.

I can confirm, i did NOT GET the Torn Diary 2. I have all other parts.

My GF did get it!!! She did those quests solo, so did I. Its completely random who gets it and who doesnt.

Hopefully GM cares enough to retrieve items… -.-"

I have the same issue, good to know where the problem is coming from. Hopefully GMs can do something about it.

Same here. Did not get the part 2 diary and have been looking for it the last couple of days. You need all 4 parts to trigger a hidden quest. If there is a way I could get it, it would be nice.

Did not receive a Page 2, put a ticket in about the issue, hopefully someone will get back to us on this.

I would appreciate it if a GM could resolve this or send word up the chain to get it fixed and the victims of the bug compensated with part 2. It’s things like this that pile up and eventually persuade players to quit.

Me too. It is possible that the item drops only from one of the buckets, and since when you use one bucket, it respawns instantly, it is possible to use that same bucket for the entire quest task and thus skip the Torn Diary page.

I have read that the “Torn Diary part 2” item is dropped from one of the buckets in Viela Gorge (the quest for activating the obelisk). But the item didn’t drop.

The quest is now over and I cannot get back to it, so getting that “Torn Diary part 2” is impossible.

I have sent in a ticket a week and a half ago regarding the bug and IMC has responded with the generic “thank you for reporting this bug” line.

They have yet to provide me with the quest item as well so yeah, we’re all boned right now.

Reviving this thread, and to create awareness for this bug.

Torn Diary part 2 is obtained during the main quest in Vieta Gorge - Activate the Obelisk (1), when collecting the White Oak Sap.

I think it is only the specific bucket that Torn Diary part 2 can be collected.

So far, I tried to “re-collect” from the bucket, and quest sharing with another character that is doing the quest, there seems no way to get Torn Dairy part 2 once you missed it and completed the quest.

Please help. >_<
