Token Trade Restriction between characters on the same account?

I tried to move my own token from one of my character to another character then suddenly i am not allowed to move or sell it, why?
this is my own token on my own account, whats the reason with limited movement of premium items within my own account?
This is becoming absurd and borders to stupidity.

They want you to buy another so they get another $20

many items, particularly premium items, can only be traded a single time.

but honestly, what did you need to trade it for anyway?
it doesn’t matter which character uses it, it applies to all characters on that server.

Ohhh “the borders to stupidity”, he says. HAHA cheers bro

why transfer it to another character?

  1. I want to sell it on the market using a different character because my other characters has consumed the infinite 5 slots on the auction house.
  2. I wanted to delete the character that holds the token because it is a useless build.
  3. I am already a premium user I don’t need to use another token for the next 60 days.
  4. I am not happy anymore with the character that holds the token.

Anyway, my reasons are not relevant to this, This is my account, what is the logic/reason behind this not so well thought out practice?for Annoyance?

Token effects apply account wide iirc
But I agree cash shops items need to be able to be movable in the same account, many games have a cash shop inventory.

i’m going to read these all as independent possibilities, and not a collection of all the reasons why.

1; this won’t work, since the token is only tradeable once, and currently even just trading between characters on the same account uses up that trade. (hopefully, their plans to “reduce the restrictions on team storage” will include eliminating this penalty.) best option for this at the current time is just to wait for something to sell, and then put the token up.

2; no build is “useless”. every build -can- work. Obviously some are better optimized than others in general, and some are more effective in certain situations that others. eg: my swordy can just stand there slapping at everything in range, but it tends to wear her hp down. my krivis tends to get knocked down ALL THE TIME… but it’s mostly frustrating and not dangerous, since she takes tiny damage from almost everything.
…that said, i get it. i’ve deleted a bunch of characters already. wait a few days, while you auction it off, collect the money, buy something more portable, give THAT to the other character, and THEN delete the character. i agree - this is a pain in the ass. option 2 is to just use the token, and add 30 more days to your VIP.

3; 30, not 60d. just saying. and they stack. use another token, it will just add +30d to your VIP time left. again, not the ideal solution, but it is -a- solution.

4; …this is just the same as 2.

as for “why” this was chosen? i dunno. maybe somebody thought that this would be a method to slow down RMT’s, by preventing them from trading items around. i can’t imagine how… why would they trade items between characters instead of just switching characters?

as i’ve mentioned above, hopefully their stated plans to “reduce the restrictions on team storage” will include eliminating these penalties.

@elysium yes, this would be much more convenient. especially if you could manipulate boxed items inside that inventory. eg, buy a box of 10 enchant scrolls and unpack it… then each of your characters takes a pair of them or something.

I appreciate your reply, however as i said my reasons are irrelevant to this. Whatever reason i might have IMC shouldnt care about it because it is within my own account. RMT? How could you relate this to RMT when you are not dealing with another person?

Of course I know I can do the things that you proposed. But you forgot something, I am a customer here, it is within my prerogative to exercise things for my own convenience with out resorting to illegal activities.

Yes, it is 60 days from tier 1 of the early access. Regardless, do you think I would still enjoy staying as a premium user with this god-awful in game policies that you want me to add another 30 days?

you asked why, and an answer was given.

you didn’t like the answer, and you started complaining that they must be doing it specifically to annoy their paying customers. (because yea, that’s a great way to make money.)

if it’s so god-awful bad, then pack up and quit.
if not, then quit making useless complaints about things IMC has already stated that they’re looking into changing.

wow!
it is a hypothetical question. No, I need not explain.
yeah give my money back and i’ll quit.

of course you will rant it is my fault blah blah
If you do not like my post leave it, move on just like your recommendation to me to quit.

As if I quit it will solve anything.

you agreed, when making the purchase, that this purchase (as DLC) is ineligible for refund.
there was big orange text in a bunch of locations saying that.

but go ahead and give it a shot.

besides, if lots of people quit over the same issues, it will make IMC aware that people consider it a problem.
each individual player is only a drop in the bucket, but eventually individual drops will fill a bucket.

Well, yeah, that’s the problem they’re complaining about.

“I want to do this, but I can’t. I wish I could”

And then you say “No, you can’t do that.”

Uh, ok, thanks?

I don’t really understand WHY you can’t do it. TP is account wide. Token privilege is account wide. But if you so much as DARE spend the shared TP on a specific character, it’s now locked. Why? You could have just bought it on another character, so what kind of abuse are they preventing here?

yea, i dunno. it seems like an excessive restriction.

fortunately for us, IMC agrees that the restrictions on Team Storage are excessive, and have said they’re examining relaxing the restrictions.
what that means -exactly- is anyone’s guess at this point, but any step is going to be a step in the right direction.

not entirely accurate; many cash shop items can be traded ONCE. at the moment, -any- trade is considered the same value, whether it’s between your own team members, another player, or even on the marketplace. Tokens themselves fall into this category. if you bought it on the wrong character, a lot of items can be traded to the right one.

at the same time, this policy is also in line with the general attitude of IMC towards the game – “consider your actions before you carry through with it.” stat allocation, class choice at rank-up, skill choice, cash shop purchases, etc… if you don’t think about it, you may regret it later.

like i said at the start of this post, i find the restriction a bit strong. and they’ve said that they’ve heard the complaints everyone has been making and are looking into ways to improve it.
