To those complaining of casual players

I’d like to add onto this, one of the main things i still enjoy about D3 is how you can pick the difficulty of the mobs you are fighting, along with there being no level cap at all. So it allows players to give themselves as much of a challenge as they want along with bigger and better rewards for their effort, or they can put the game on easy mode while they improve their gears and level up at a much slower pace. ToS on the other hand, forces you to fight and grind on easy monsters within a strict level range, punishing you for trying to fight anything stronger or weaker, which limits players and forces them down a set path, giving little to no challenge to the players who want one and forcing everyone to play at the same pace, which separates players only by playtime instead of skill or how big of a challenge they can overcome.

Now i’m not saying they need to buff up all the mobs to make the game super challenging, but the players who want a challenge should be allowed to have one, with better exp/drops for their efforts. The instance dungeons are the closest thing we have to this right now except that they are still way too easy, along with the exp/damage penalties making them only worth the effort for about 10 levels and then never to be re-visited.

baby steps for the small imc korean company? we can only hope right? you guys are right that poe is a great example of mob variation, mob density, and threat involved with both around every corner. All of it is done right. IMC could take some much needed notes on the mob/creature situations. I think their desires for good boss fights is there, but its clearly lacking proper AI.

I’m in love with their graphics. With the animations and the overall setup… I love the skill/class system too
but all the previous hype is wearing off. I hope to see big big lists of detailed patch notes and release updates.

As others have said already, this game, at the moment, is almost half grind half quest friendly. You can get to 100+ without grinding at all and just doing quests and using the exp cards but you reach a point where grinding is necessary. If you use up all your cards as you level up, you might reach lvl 171 and have to resort to grinding until you reach 173 for the next quest line or you can grind while saving cards till 165 and use up all your cards in an instant to shoot up to 173 or higher. Adding more quests so that there is no grinding will defeat the point of the game as people will reach end game content too fast and end up being bored just chasing the newest weapons/armor, just look at TERA, you can reach max level in less than a day. Too much grinding will turn off the casual players as they may not enjoy the game. IMHO the game is perfect the way it is at the moment, casual players are allowed the opportunity to reach lvl 100+ easily and experience different classes, but if they really want to get to end game, they are going to have to accept the fact that IMC is not just going to hand them quests to get there and they need to actually put in some effort.

where is the dislike button?, those filthy casuals should go to league of autism or counter strike.

Go back to Perfect World’s quest grind chore and spend everything you have on gear.
