Sunk Cost Fallacy. You know it’s against the policy to bot but you did anyway, now complain about it after you got banned. Also, spending money on this game doesn’t give you the right to cheat just 'cause you’re busy. That excuse is BS! Really BS!
Errrrr ok… …[quote=“RISKorRIOT, post:61, topic:297304”]
You dense? They aren’t justifying it.

QQ all hope is lost.
The need of silver is intentionally made as a time-sink so that players will not reach “end game” attributes and gear within a span of a few months.
Read that lol, that was funny but i would approve this type of ban.

I agree that was the plan. But how silver is earned is currently in favor of automated mindless repetitive actions. Unfortunately that is the biggest stable source of pure silver income. Even if you were to get decent items weekly out of cubes to sell, that would be secondary to AFK farming which is the most mild version of automated farming actions.
The fact is that a general MMO audience will try to expedite their game play to endgame. The other thing is that there are already tons of people abusing the system and it kills the same market that is supposed to help players steadily make their meager profits in hopes of one day completing their attributes. That only hinders the average player further.
I agree with you completely. But the system is still needing some polish. The best way to ward from automated actions is by making content that takes some sort of skill to complete or be rewarded amply in.

This is why ToS is marketed as a korean grind mmo right? It is already stated that the game needs doing repetitive actions again and again to progress.
Everyone wants to level and gain silver fast, but the game being repetitive in nature doesn’t justify the use of bots to automate tasks. Other players being able to farm more efficiently doesn’t give the right for the average player to favor the use of bots. Other players using bots to get ahead also doesn’t justify the cause to use bots too.
To the bot users, stop blaming the game as a means to justify using bots.
There is no excuse for botting other than being a lazy selfish douche. It ruins the game for others just because they want more stuff for little effort.
Sure, you can see WHY they would think about doing it. Its not that hard. But the truth is what i said above. They want stuff with no effort and they dont care how it affects the game or other people.
If there was more farming spots and no lag during world bosses would they still bot? yes.
@RISKorRIOT i am so sorry youre having to deal with this xD. So many of the people arent even reading or comprehending what youre saying.
Sigh, usually that’s the case. @RISKorRIOT tries to analyse what botters are thinking it is really easy to misinterpret that he is on their side >.>
The fact is, the devs can improve the quality of life of any part of this game you are suggesting as to what drives the other players to bot however, there will always be bots and cheaters no matter how this game improves and bottng and cheating will always be against the terms of use.
Yeah botting and cheating and buying silver from gold sellers is always bad.
If you are really all like “Well I got a job and lots of money but no time to grind ingame” you also have a completely legal way to buy silver and that is by buying TP, get tokens and sell them on the market.

You shouldn’t compare illegal transactions with legal ones. TP cost depends on what IMC needs to earn for the game to survive and after halving the cost it’s actually reasoanble too. And token cost it set by the players, it’s a free market.
That’s exactly why I slipped in the word “trying” because the reason is moot. And please, “AFK farmers”? You mean auto-potters, who should also all be banned since it’s a form of botting.
A player can easily resort to 3rd party software to speed up his or her progress in a game, but it’s illegal for a reason. If you can’t put in the hours, then don’t play. This game isn’t made for someone to blitz through in a matter of days. If you want to do that, then go play a single-player RPG.
I feel like silver sellers are buying tokens with stolen credit cards and putting them on the market to keep prices low, this lets them sell silver for more…
