Sigh, usually that’s the case. @RISKorRIOT tries to analyse what botters are thinking it is really easy to misinterpret that he is on their side >.>
The fact is, the devs can improve the quality of life of any part of this game you are suggesting as to what drives the other players to bot however, there will always be bots and cheaters no matter how this game improves and bottng and cheating will always be against the terms of use.
Yeah botting and cheating and buying silver from gold sellers is always bad.
If you are really all like “Well I got a job and lots of money but no time to grind ingame” you also have a completely legal way to buy silver and that is by buying TP, get tokens and sell them on the market.

You shouldn’t compare illegal transactions with legal ones. TP cost depends on what IMC needs to earn for the game to survive and after halving the cost it’s actually reasoanble too. And token cost it set by the players, it’s a free market.
That’s exactly why I slipped in the word “trying” because the reason is moot. And please, “AFK farmers”? You mean auto-potters, who should also all be banned since it’s a form of botting.
A player can easily resort to 3rd party software to speed up his or her progress in a game, but it’s illegal for a reason. If you can’t put in the hours, then don’t play. This game isn’t made for someone to blitz through in a matter of days. If you want to do that, then go play a single-player RPG.
I feel like silver sellers are buying tokens with stolen credit cards and putting them on the market to keep prices low, this lets them sell silver for more…

sorry im not very familiar with waifus, i just pulled random pics from google to touch hearts of weebs
losing 75% of your loyal RO nostalgia costumers (after only 3 month of open access) is a ■■■■■■■ disaster however you wanna put it. once F2P opens up stats might go up a little, not by much.

Not to mention new players can even join right now and they just banned thousands of players.

im just crazy like that, its all about mmo hopping
what server do you play on?
I switched to Klaipeda I was on Orsha.
I’m a RO nostalgia player and am still playing and enjoying the game.
Also I find it weird when people show how the population is dropping and then claim it’s a “sign”. In every single MMORPG players are quitting daily. Usually this gets compensated by new players joining, but that isn’t possible in ToS currently. So obviously, even if this was the best managed game ever, it would lose players if new registrations are closed. So the graph doesn’t tell us anything other than that new players can’t join.
It’s like with car accidents. There are 3300 death every day. Now if there were no births, then the population would be dropping daily. But you shouldn’t solely blame the car accidents for that and also take a look at the fact that there are no births.
oh dam im still on orsha
im glad youre still having fun
its not really about management tho, its more about the game itself.
founders have similar stats, f2p stats are pretty much the same even before f2p was limited.
im kinda curious whats your max level and how much do you play?
There’s been botters in every game I’ve played. WoW, FFXIV, Eden Eternal, Aeon, Lineage 2, Everquest developed bots eventually once technology allowed for it, botters in Hearthstone, botters in Diablo 2, Diablo 3. There’s fricken “poker bots” running amok in online poker games.
At what point do people just say, “Okay, I just don’t enjoy playing these games so I will go do something else”?
If the problems in a video game (or just the game design itself) bothers you there’s 2 choices here:
- Post about it on the forums and try to influence change.
or: - Go play something else.
What you guys are saying is basically justifying cheating simply due to opinions they have about the game. With this logic you can literally justify cheating by saying, “Oh I don’t like how I have to grind for this. I will install a bot because obviously the game company is stupid!”
I’m actually going to disagree here. Anyone who continuously does something knowing it’s against the rules and knowing other legit players hate them for it, must have some sort of brain damage to assume it’s “okay” simply because they suck so much at video games that they can’t get ahead without cheating.
You’ve tried to plead a case that it’s “Impossible for them to get anywhere in the game without botting or RMT”. I’m going to pass that off as, “I suck at video games and I fail at life and need to cheat my way to any kind of success due to how talentless and retarded I am.”
