To build a Tank

Ello all!

So I’ve been trying to craft some sort of tank…

I came up with 4 builds as a base for now and I’d like some opinions.

I’ll throw em’ here and explain my reasoning, of course.

This one is more of an off-tank than a tank, so I was kinda meh with it. The Peltasta C2 will help me hold hate, and some of Hoplites abilities should synergize well with tanking, namely Finestra. Corsair at the end is just for the damage buff.

Perhaps the most obvious choice for tanking, it utilizes the currently available tank paths. Not really much to explain I guess?

This one sacrifices One circle from Peltasta and One from Rodelero from the above build to mix in Hoplite C2 for the added damage and Finestra.

Similar to the others, only this build gives up Rodelero C3 for Corsair’s buff.

Ignore the uh…skill choices for Rodelero. I have no idea how any of them will actually work til’ getting there.

Just an oppinion as I don’t know a lot about the classes.

Why Choose Thrust over Bash? I feel that thrust doesn’t hit as many enemies, and that Bash has some utility able to knockdown which adds cc when needed. Or does it have to do with the Hoplite using spears?

No real reason.

It’s honestly just for the swordsman levels. I plan to just Provoke things and Auto attack my way through most things as a Peltasta.

I’m not sure why he picked Thrust over Bash. But I also picked Thrust over Bash. If you’re asking why? Then it because I can spam Thrust. Thrust has no cooldown, while Bash has around 6secs I think.

yeah around 6 seconds, after two strikes, atleast for now I use it for utility , helps when you get piled on and need some breathing room. Also nto a good idea to spam abilities at times, since swordsmans have pretty low sp.

Aside from Thrust v. Bash, does anyone have any opinions on the class progressions?

Kind of stumped on which would prove the most useful in both solo and team situations :v

I would say, Rodelero maybe dropped Class to use. Yeah it is shield based but, it seems from the attributes I am looking at it takes more of a Offensive and from people talk more off a PvP kind of class though I am just taking others opinions.

my oppinion I would try Squire, Arrest seams helpful, immobilizing and trapping enemies and Bosses (which Most CC rarely Affects) and Decreases the Defense when attributed. While Also able to repair items when stuck in dungeons

I see what you’re saying, but I do think that even tanks in this game need some form of offense, which Rodelero does provide quite well in the later ranks.

Squire just seems ehhhh.

If there is a higher rank Squire near you, you’re literally useless, and even at C3 whenever that is, it seems like something you make a side character for; not really one that you make your uh, main character.

Guardian cannot be used with gung ho. So maybe you can remove it from your build.

I’m aware of this, but I won’t be using Guardian all the time. Gung Ho is for soloing.

Unless you mean you can’t pick both, in which case I’ll just skill reset later.

I see. You can pick both.

Personally, i will wait the return of Centurion Class to make a Tank Build.

I think squire can be pretty improtant.

It seems meh, because it is a Utility Class Literally no offensive power, but your armor is going to wear out as a tank, So you have free armor and weapon repair for yourself which enhance weaponry/armor Damage and Durability, and people can pay for doing it for them. In c2, you get Banking, Port Point and Team Buffs.

So in my opinion it pretty useful.

I see your point, thing is, if I go Squire C2 I’ll either need to go Peltasta C3 since I don’t know how useful Rodelero C1 would be. Not to mention I’d be stuck with -just- Peltasta things til’ we can reach higher circles.

Either way, thanks for the input.

You could go Hoplite,

High Guard + FInestra seems like it can make a pretty strong Defense, and Could use Pierce or Stabbing for more damage.

True, it just all seems so weak at circle 1 compared to circle 2.

Hmm, predicament lol.
