Really pains me and im sure all the others who did not get invited to a single beta test, to see you guys complaining about rates and so on. Anyone who played Ragnarok knows how grindy it is, not sure what you guys are expecting and I have nothing really against you guys but it sure is a kick to the nads to see people complain about something id pay to play
The problem isnt the rate being too low, is the rate being so low compared to Korea. Right now Korean players get to enjoy the game much more, they still grind to an enjoyable level and have more options than just grind. And they get to test the higher rank. I have 34 hours in game and im level 54, but I can tell you it doesnt feel good.
Just because you like or its playable doesnt mean its good. Afterall standars are different, and I set my standards to higher than just ok. This much grind is tedious and not needed, buff exp cards and exp rate, maybe not as much as korea, but def more than this.
This is not Ragnarok, and what beta tester doing is shaping up the game. To do that they need to give feedback, and in this case, everyone is seeing it as ‘complain’.
Wow, you want some cheese to go with your whine buddy?
You’re not supposed to want to pay to play a CBT. It’s for bug testing the game and stress testing the servers, as well as giving general feedback on the game to give the devs and publishing company a feel for how the community might take future content. Don’t be salty cause you didn’t get an invite.
I don’t have a beta key either but just from watching people play, seeing what is being said in forums, etc the rates seem way too low for a beta test. Also, if you truly believe that people are only complaining about rates then you probably haven’t been checking out the right threads. There has been plenty of feedback on ways to make it better while keeping a nice amount of grind intact, you might have to dig through some whining to find it though.
As far as I’ve seen, many people are alright with low rates(granted there are changes that need to be done still as the system, as is, is not perfect), but a bigger problem is that there is a strong grind with very little variation of things to do at such early levels, making the game very uninteresting or hard to get into.
I actually like this idea of low rate exp. Reminds of days of maple grind.
As you can see, they are experimenting with exp rates in CBTs, they even change around during krCBT. Another reason why they make low rate for this CBT is maybe for us to stay in a place longer so that we can fully catch those bugs rather than just breeze through the content. On another note, it would be boring if we cleared most of the content before this game even hit OB right?
Regardless of what their intention of the low exp rate, i do think that rate is rather low for current MMORPG standards. During the early days of MMOs, making the game grindy extends the longevity of the game because it takes longer to reach the cap and hence people will play alot more. However, these days games are to cater casual players because its the majority now, not that they are leaving out hardcore players, its just whatever the majority comes first.
If the rate stays until official release, it will definitely scare most of the people away and not many will play for long. This will make ToS occupied by the minority, the hardcore players. This means ToS will be underpopulated and not good for the future of the game since less people meaning less money.
We are testing and looking for bugs, just as those in the kCBT. The issue is that while we are only in our first test, there is so much content that it is just difficult to get very far to continue looking for bugs and issues.
I’m not saying that we need to breeze through and I have accepted that they may be forcing us to look close at the starting content for now, but with such a short time frame it makes things a bit hard. Especially knowing it is a long road to max level.
Dude, the complains are very well justified. We don’t mind the grind, not at all. It’s the time that we are forced to grind that we do mind. Grinding for about 1 hour just for 1 lvl which starts around lvl 25 is really suck. You know lvl 25 isn’t considered a very high level right? The lvl cap is 200 (for beta) and here we are stuck at lvl 25 - 30. Tell me if it’s fun. Beta is supposed to test but what we are suppose to test if the contents are locked behind those lvls.
And stop saying that RO crap like some kind of chant or something. This is TOS, a whole different game.
It doesnt really matter if its low compared to a game or if we like or not to grind. How do you feel that you wasted half the days you’ll be able to test leveling 30% of ONE CLASS that youre suposed to test?
I wish i could say that at least the auto-attack seems ok, since that all ive been doing. But jesus, even the hitboxes are messed up, especially on bosses.
lol, i dont give a crap, if it’s the same hardcore grindfest when OBT launchs i’ll just quit
You want some inspiration to be more original there buddy? Or are you ok with your generic 1 liners? How could you possibly check for bugs without playing it? Rekt
To every single one of you who felt compelled to say " this is not ragnarok" where in my post did I say it was? Or did I just refer to a similar game with very similar play style? I felt like half of these comments didnt really read what I said, just skimmed over keywords and felt like I care to hear a bunch of people say the same thing over and over.
You haven’t played the game how the hell can you say people complaining are wrong?
This isn’t Ragnarok and the grind starts too early, the game will have 500+ levels, you shouldn’t have a noticeable grind as early as ~25
