To any potential squires, pardoners and alchemists

Just make a sorcerer 1 necromancer 2 and afk in a level/mob appropriate place with summons, you will make far more silver for far less maintenance.

With the current amount of taxation and competition you aren’t likely going to be making silver anytime soon.

I thought about that and I already have an Sorc C1

do sorc summons and necro2 skeletons last forever, or do they have some mechanism that causes them to time out?

the summon from sorc drains sp, 0 sp = summon gone

Skellies and Shoggoth (necro) dont despawn.

aaaand necro2 here i come lol

Honestly i dont think afk farming should be allowed, especially since i cant see how it would be done without auto-pot. I’m hoping as time goes on they just balance the crafting classes better.

i second the motion. i’m looking for a legal way to make the most of afk time, since I would like to keep ToS running in the background while I work. i wanted to make a crafter class, but the competition and the tax I hear about won’t make it worth my time.

until that time comes though, it definitely looks like necro afk-farming will be the most cost-effective way to make use of afk time

Thats bs, im earning 1.5m everyday selling lvl10 pots. ( Silute )

Why not? it was allowed in Ro, why it wouldn’t here?

How did you manage the pot? Using Macro?

In thats case its not an “AFK witn minion” you know.

Well i didn’t play RO so i have no idea how it worked there and cant comment on it but if you need to use auto-pot or something to manage whatever your summoning you’re basically just botting imo. Also why should someone progress for not playing the game? In the case of Alchemists and other crafting classes, their classes are all about setting up shop and they sacrifice a full build to do so. It’s not fair to the crafting classes especially, but for all players in general, that people with full builds are afk farming. It creates traffic in already crowded maps, players that are actually playing should be the ones profitting, it can also cause inflation if a lot of players do it. Imc hasn’t made an official statement on it, and honestly in the short term i think they have more important thing’s to tackle; but i do hope that it isn’t allowed in the future, especially if the afk’ers are using a 3rd party program or addon to facilitate the farming.

hm. sounds interesting. how many other competitors do you have selling pots on the open market?

No RO is not allowed either lol. You get misconception between auto-level homunculus and auto farm…

In all honesty, Pardoners etc should be just there for convenient. RO dies when there is no Blacksmith and Priest because “hey other class are more powerful” without they realizing no Healer etc anymore…

Squire3 here and have no problem eventhough there is a lot of price untercutting (I think I have good number of Trust customers). I understand that it make less money than Macro-Bot Sorc at Bee farm, but Offline shop have it own benefit as it doesn’t require me to open that character all the time.

The point of those classes is to buy a lot of items and open a shop, you can change the character and do whatever you want and the shop will stay forever, you will not “lost time” with those shops. You can even make a shop and log in with your necro and do that shady summon thing.

are u trolling dude?

You’re the one since you seems never play official server but private server instead lol… I don’t have intention to arguing but you seems starting it…

AFK-farming with pets/summons:

Auto-potting using 3rd party macro software or external scripts = not OK
No auto-pot = OK

Simple stuff.

sry didn’t know about official server rules since they are/were p2w.

@Efner that’s actually a pretty cool idea. do the repair/upgrade shops of squires stay up even when you’re logged into another toon on the same account?
