Please, please, please do not think this is just an endgame thing to invest in. I’ve run into a lot of players (mostly new ones) recently that don’t understand how strong enhance attributes are, even at early levels. Attributes are widely the biggest thing that you can invest your silver in to enhance your damage. While 1% may not seem much it is not that difficult to fund 50% of an attribute, especially from early jobs. The price ramps up fast from there.
Enhance attributes are a big reason to consider consolidating circles in builds to keep total number of enhancements low. Less number of jobs means less skill to buy enhancements on, and more circles of a job means these attributes are doubly effective by leveling up their respective skill levels higher. Please take attribute costs into account, always. Classes like Musketeer and Warlock will become hugely monstrous with enough money sunk into them as powerful R7 classes, but the cost per skill is insane (80’000’000+ silver to 100% any of their skills).
Some classes also benefit from early attributes. Classes like Cleric can get some huge damage from Heal and Cure, while Archer can make Oblique Shot even more useful than it already is. Think of a max enhanced Oblique Shot as a replacement for your auto-attack that is twice as strong as usual and bounces to a target for next to no SP cost.
You will accumulate a respectable amount of silver on your journey to level 280. Invest wise, because a million you spend on an item that barely boosts your defenses may instead massively boost your damage from a spell.
