The npc can’t be found right now. Not sure if it is meant to be that way, or ITOS just forgot to include it. There are some topics around the forum which is about this missing npc
This build still viable, since they added the overheats?
yes it is still viable.
Tiaa’s Scout3 clearing dungeon 170 in 11 minutes
Saw the latest build from Tiaa, might I ask why not even 1 point for arrow sprinkle? I’d think it’d make bossing faster.
Can you tell me your skill distribution? Im going exactly at the same build as you, right now im at R7 and i still didnt put my skill points since the reset, so if you could help me i would be very gratefull!
Ps: What perspective Distortion do exactly? Someone told me it combos with circling, how is that?
Perspective bugs and DC you… At least before the rank resets hahaha
Arrow rain is pretty bad right now compared to other skillset of Mergen. I prefer to specialize 5 points into all 3 skills because higher skill levels will give more % into the skill damage. You can spread the skill distribution if you want to have all 4 skills :)) Parthian Shaft is not recommended.
@Tiaaa, been tyring out variations of your efficient build
what are your thoughts on A2>QS1>SC3>F1>M ?
to be able to add some support when things get a little hairy
for an ET/Miki run with pavise/caltrops. will be missing
twin shot that will be put into multishot instead (still
works with circling?)
on your latest build video 2 months ago, you had unspent
scout skills. how does
split 5
scan 5 (for confusion)
p distort 10 (for party phys buff)
flare 15
cloak 5
flu 4
camo 1
look to you?
also, after the major update, do you still suggest
160dex, rest in str?
thanks
A2-QS1 is fine if you want to have pavise and caltrops. You might also want to consider A3 for higher level of Swift Step becausae Archer’s swift step is buff in KTOS and scales with swift step skill level. We will have additional 25 crit rate with A3 over A2. If crit rate isn’t what you looking for, A2-QS1 is okay. Multishot still works fine with circling.
For skills build, I recommend to test with 1 point in the following skills: Scan, Perceptive distortion, Flare. This is because these skills will work effectively with a single point. Adding more points is possible based on individual preference. While for Flu Flu, 1 point is enough. Flu Flu damage only applies to the first initial arrow. Afterwards the mobs have fear de-buff. Adding more points into flu flu will increase the de-buff duration (at skill level 1, 5, 10, 15, each increases only 1 sec of de-buff) and only the first initial arrow will deal damage. Other than these, the rest of the skill distribution are good.
For stats, I will recommend 1:1 str dex. Purely for the reason that str adds accuracy and dex adds block penetration. Both are important. Because of this 1:1 is the safest way so that we don’t have to worry about our attacks miss or get block by mobs.
Lastly, I also want to point out Scout3 isn’t an ET/Solmiki build. But Falcon-Mergen is. We can rely on chrono for pass to reset fal-mergen combos, and Fal-Mergen could potentially carry ET/Solmiki as the main dps, however, the prior class building (i.e. Scout3) won’t be contributing much into the AOE needed. Though that said, Archer2/3-Scout3-Fal1-Mergen is a good well-rounded build. You can do fine in general pve, farming, dailies, et/solmiki, and pvp (after the pvp revamp), but not exceptionally good in a single area, Overall it is still the best build for me.
PS: I heard alot about crashes when using circling + homing arrow combo. However, I never experience it at all. Perhaps because I will always use circling + triple arrow at crowded mobs situation then homing arrow if any leftover mobs. Triple arrow do more damage if mobs are stack on top of one another because of the explosion damage which is not included in the description. Also charging homing arrow is abit too risky at crowded mobs situations because it can be cancelled if mobs hit us. In short, use circling + triple arrow.
Thanks Tiaaa!
The only skills that weren’t maxed from scout3 was cloaking 5/15, flu 4/15, and camo 1/5.
seems cloak 5 is enough for pve, unless there will be changes that will be advantageous to
increase it. Since the breakthrough for the additional 1s duration from flu isn’t met (lvl5),
would you rather have flu 1/15 and cloak 8/15?
Yup, know full well that it isn’t a meta ET build, but rather wanted a Sct3 that could ET/Miki.
pavise and caltrops are great aggro grabbers (that don’t decloak) in case of a botched
defense rotation and missed sage missile holes during some floors. Finding split arrow
good for picking off stragglers that were left behind from the initial group
frost pillar/ provoke - fal+mer burst
yup, its mostly circ + triple arrows first before running away while charging homing
then going back as its fully charged then release. hmm maybe its a vga error or something.
haven’t experienced it when i was testing a variant of this during the free reset weeks,
and now will have the time to create a new char like it.
I see. thought that based from your video that you had an optimal point for dex before
diminishing returns like 180? well guess that’s still almost 1:1 if you divide up 330 pts
from leveling (not including the adds from quests/ shrines)
with the new changes, do you think that it should still be all reds on the weap /
or green for crits?
Seems like you know the kind of build you enjoy playing, thats good! I think scout3-fal1-mergen will definitely fit what you are looking for.
Red gems are the safest way to increase damage, but making your attack damage range larger. Red gems goes very well with glassmole, but because cards will be having a revamp soon, so there might be other card choices that can go along with the build.
Yellow gems are still viable, but is more reliable for builds with multiple hits, so that on average damage deal (including crits and non-crits) it can be of a higher value.
Greens gems increases the chance for doing crits. It is good for skills with a few hits or burst because whether it crits or not matters much more. Also do note that crit % = (crit rate - mob crit resist) ^ 0.6. Stacking crit rate is an challenge and its effect may not be immediately visible if your crit rate is low or base damage is low.
If you have endgame 315weapon with high upgrades and transcendence, green gems will be more worthwhile as crits matters alot because it will further scale your high damage to even higher. If you have budget to average gears, red gems will be better to increase your damage output.
tiaa what do you think about using the 4 mp recovery cards in this build?, when the card rework come?
do you mean harpeia, salamander, carapace, rocktortuga, spectre monarch and throneweaver card? if yes, then no. Before revamp, that 10% chance is rarely occured in hg 320, new card effect only 5% chance
Yup! I am considering. Either hp recovery Poata card or sp recovery Mushcaria card. It fits nicely to my sit-stand method, and can also helps to ease mergen high sp cost.
My other considerations are critical rate maronx card, hp card yeti, or hp&sp card nepenthes.
Most likely, I will wait till rank9 class information are out before I level any cards. Now I am saving up to have enough cards materials.
Hi, currently im a2-r1-s1-flet3-mergen, would it be wise to reroll to a3-s3-falcon1-mergen? what would be the pros and cons, thnx
imho these 2 builds have really different target oriented. flet : bossing & scout : mobs clearing.
so it is back to, what are you going to use with that char.
Depends on what you want to do.
Bossing
A3-x-Fletcher3-Mergen
Solo/ all rounder for pve (except boss)
A2-Sapper3-Fletcher3
A3-Scout3-Falcon1-Mergen
AOE (i.e for et/solmiki)
A3-Sapper3-Falcon1-Mergen
Umm may I ask why A3 stick with Fletcher3 Mergen?
it may not be the best bossing build but it is still a better bossing build than any other variant tiaa mentioned above
