The rune is visible, it looks like the ice rune that you get from Jonas. It kind blends in with the background and it doesn’t really glow or anything. I used keyboard mode just incase mouse mode doesn’t work xD. Not sure how long it’ll stay once it appears though

This is the guide to unlock the NPC, you can do it at any level iirc. Once you unlock it when you are reach rank 6, Runecaster should be available on your Class Advancement options.

This really should be mentioned to staff. The spawn rate is rare and not to mention when people who havent started to rune caster path can do it then it becomes even more difficult. It should either have a higher spawn rate or should be exclusively visible to those who have done the other requirements. Running around for hours to all the spots and changing channels is a bit much compared to the other hidden class.

How does it play out for you?
I guess that answer can be applied to every “hidden” class.
Difficult doesn’t equate into time consuming. Something can be hard and difficult and reasonable. I can run around the areas, changing channels for hours (which I did) or sit in the same spot for hours and that makes it difficult? Theres no challenge to it, there is simply a contest of who has the most free time and who is willing to burn it.

Because you have read the guide about rune locations and spoiled the challenge. Imagine yourself hunting for them without that knowledge?
The challenge then is purely based on luck. There’s very little clues as to where or what to go, and I’m sure that the KR version figured it out because of either datamining or sheer luck from a cumulative group of people working together by…piecing together accidents (or a single really hardcore person).
The difficulty I had in mind was something sort of like how ARGs are designed. I don’t mind the setoff quest being random, but the clues should really be more fun I guess? Hard doesn’t mean unfun.
Also, as for my build HAHA it’s odd that I like it a lot, but do not recommend it. For one, there are instances where I cannot outdamage a boss’ heals. Second, I’m very useless for bossing at the moment. It’s more of something that fits my personal taste, since it makes me pay attention to what I’m doing with uh energy bolt being my only “viable” attack skill until rune caster hehh
Its just i planned to go Wiz3 > Linker2 > Alch2 on my mage:
60% Atk/mAtk 30 min party buff from awakening
50% mAtk buff from spiritual chain sharing
all the goodies from alchemist crafting/service skills.

In times when players want instant gratification quests that require patience might be the most challenging ones.

I dont think changing channel works. I explain : Yesterday I found the rune at lvl 3 , was so happy , I killed 3 monster before clicking , the time I did it , the rune disapear in front of me.
I suppose someone took it in other chan … kill me
Can we get any confirmations of this rune spawning on Klaipeda? Cause this might just be related to Klaipeda, i personally have been camping this for hours with 5 friends, one at each point and it just does NOT exist…

When i go there the NPC is not there. I completed the previous steps already and have some of the other runes.
You need to do a quest to make Ahylas Jonas appears.
There’s a chain quest there called Crazy Archivist. Later along the quest Ahylas Jonas will be where he is supposed to be xD

I managed to get my rune as well at 1pm EST on Orsha, might be just a coincidence but I felt like it was worth mentioning.
I was able to find the rune on the 5th floor at around 2AM CST (Klaipeda), about a week ago
Do you really think that any of us will have any “fun” or think it could be “hard” to waste 6 hours waiting this ■■■■?
So far for me it is one of the most ■■■■ quest I’ve seen.
Spawn Thurisaz Rune:
I have 5 characters in the 5 points, every 30 mins or every hour and checked for 10 hours and nothing.
It was until 8:01 a.m. of the server klaipeda CH1 that appeared on the 5th floor (after 12 hours).
According to a guide in Korean, it only comes out on the 5th floor.
For the rune of justice that gives the chonomancer, it is once every two hours.
You can use addon manager and install Show Hide Buff, to show the remaining time to deliver the rune.
I also saw this in a post on reedit.
Note, it’s a “■■■■” this quest.
it spawned for me after like 15 minutes ._. u know u must NOT leave spawn location? if no one is at channel then respawn time will reset, so u must just wait ;x
False. I got mine on 3rd floor.
Actually each 3 hours and 20~30 ish it seems. >_<
Anyway, the trick for Royal Mausoleum runes is:
A) If you have the main quests done get quest warps on each floor.
B) Check all floors each XX:00 and XX:30. My recommended order if you got quest warps is:
-> Start at 5F; Warp to 3F; Warp to 4F; Warp to 1F, Walk or Warp to 2F; Statue warp to 5F from 2F. Repeat next XX:00 or next XX:30.
It seems the rune have a chance to spawn or not. I got mine by 18:04. The first try was at 17:30 there was no rune in any floor.
There’s also a chance the rune only lasts 5 minutes (maybe it lasts up to 15 minutes?) so you shouldn’t take too long checking. There’s also the chance of getting a long unluck streak of it not spawning for many hours in a row.
Maybe it has a cooldown of some sort and doesn’t spawn again in the same day? Not sure exactly.
There’s also the chance that instead of having a daily cooldown it can spawn in different floors per character which would explain why character swapping fails.
But it was pretty easy when I did it, I finished almost all runes within 1 hour and 40 minutes and I think 7-ish hours total AFK near Chronomancer master because I left the channel and it was reset after waiting the 3 hours, so I messed up there.
