Thurisaz Rune not spawning for collection (Runecaster Spoilers itt)

Bug Description :

I’m trying to finish off my rune invitation to be able to advance as a runecaster, and have the other four runes that are required to do so. I am now stuck on the Thurisaz rune, which as I understand is supposed to spawn at one location on each of the five Royal Mausoleum floors.

I’ve switched between channels on all five floors and have not seen the rune spawn in, and have talked to one other player who is also going for RC who was unable to find a rune after idling in one of the previous spawn locations for an hour.

I have serious doubts that they are supposed to be this rare, so am making a bug report because without this last rune I will be unable to advance into the class when I get to rank 6. :frowning:

Hiya, I just got my Thurisaz Rune today and did my job change.

I’m Zylvionn from Orsha server, and I got an info that the spawn timer of this rune is around 24 hours… and it existed. :slight_smile:

Hello! I’d like to ask if the rune spawn is visible, i.e. if you sit on the stairs and wait, would it appear so you could go down and get it? Also, do you know how long the rune stays there once it appears? Like a minute?

Also 24 hours whoa. so basically it’ll only appear once a day…? oh man.

hello guys , I’m going for runecaster but have no idea how you change to the class since its hidden. how things works and what should I do once I reach rank 6 ? Thanks !

The rune is visible, it looks like the ice rune that you get from Jonas. It kind blends in with the background and it doesn’t really glow or anything. I used keyboard mode just incase mouse mode doesn’t work xD. Not sure how long it’ll stay once it appears though :frowning:

Heya! You can check out the link here Runecaster Guide(Spoilers).

This is the guide to unlock the NPC, you can do it at any level iirc. Once you unlock it when you are reach rank 6, Runecaster should be available on your Class Advancement options.

This really should be mentioned to staff. The spawn rate is rare and not to mention when people who havent started to rune caster path can do it then it becomes even more difficult. It should either have a higher spawn rate or should be exclusively visible to those who have done the other requirements. Running around for hours to all the spots and changing channels is a bit much compared to the other hidden class.

How does it play out for you?

I guess that answer can be applied to every “hidden” class.

Difficult doesn’t equate into time consuming. Something can be hard and difficult and reasonable. I can run around the areas, changing channels for hours (which I did) or sit in the same spot for hours and that makes it difficult? Theres no challenge to it, there is simply a contest of who has the most free time and who is willing to burn it.

Because you have read the guide about rune locations and spoiled the challenge. Imagine yourself hunting for them without that knowledge?

The challenge then is purely based on luck. There’s very little clues as to where or what to go, and I’m sure that the KR version figured it out because of either datamining or sheer luck from a cumulative group of people working together by…piecing together accidents (or a single really hardcore person).

The difficulty I had in mind was something sort of like how ARGs are designed. I don’t mind the setoff quest being random, but the clues should really be more fun I guess? Hard doesn’t mean unfun.

Also, as for my build HAHA it’s odd that I like it a lot, but do not recommend it. For one, there are instances where I cannot outdamage a boss’ heals. Second, I’m very useless for bossing at the moment. It’s more of something that fits my personal taste, since it makes me pay attention to what I’m doing with uh energy bolt being my only “viable” attack skill until rune caster hehh

Its just i planned to go Wiz3 > Linker2 > Alch2 on my mage:
60% Atk/mAtk 30 min party buff from awakening
50% mAtk buff from spiritual chain sharing
all the goodies from alchemist crafting/service skills.

Edit:

In times when players want instant gratification quests that require patience might be the most challenging ones.

I dont think changing channel works. I explain : Yesterday I found the rune at lvl 3 , was so happy , I killed 3 monster before clicking , the time I did it , the rune disapear in front of me.

I suppose someone took it in other chan … kill me

Can we get any confirmations of this rune spawning on Klaipeda? Cause this might just be related to Klaipeda, i personally have been camping this for hours with 5 friends, one at each point and it just does NOT exist…

****EDIT: Confirmed it spawns on Klaipeda, just received it at approx. 1pm EST.

Anyone have trouble with this step?

  1. Talk to Ahylas Jonas at Gateway of the Great King, he will give you the Isa Rune. (http://i.imgur.com/0InaG9D.jpg)

When i go there the NPC is not there. I completed the previous steps already and have some of the other runes.

You need to do a quest to make Ahylas Jonas appears.

There’s a chain quest there called Crazy Archivist. Later along the quest Ahylas Jonas will be where he is supposed to be xD

Bumping this thread, sorry about it.

I managed to get my rune as well at 1pm EST on Orsha, might be just a coincidence but I felt like it was worth mentioning.

I was able to find the rune on the 5th floor at around 2AM CST (Klaipeda), about a week ago
